We're proud to announce the LEED Silver certification of our first health clinic! The PeaceHealth Lynden Clinic is a 25,000SF single-floor regional clinic with an urgent care facility. This project was challenging due to its remote location and program, it was incredibly satisfying for us to help guide PeaceHealth to its very first LEED-certified facility. Projects like this--that are focused on the health and well-being of all of us and bring much-needed services to local communities --are what sustainability is all about. https://lnkd.in/efekNgwK - - #buildingoptimization #lifecycleassesment #energycode #LEEDcertification #passivehouse #netzero #healthybuildings #greenbuildingseattle #engineering #energymanagement #cleanbuildingact #seattleengineer #archecology

Do the little things matter? There is new evidence to suggest that the way a room is lit can improve our mood, and in the realms of healthcare it can actually improve our recovery. 💫 The design and management of environmental spaces in healthcare settings play a crucial role in shaping patient health outcomes. Factors such as, air quality, noise control, spatial organization, access to nature, and aesthetic elements all contribute to patient recovery and well-being. As the body of evidence grows, healthcare providers and architects are increasingly prioritizing the creation of healing environments that optimize patient health. Future research should continue to explore the intersection between environmental design and healthcare, with a particular focus on creating adaptable, patient-centered spaces that respond to the needs of diverse patient populations. #innovation #patientsafety Jordan.wood@hepacart.co.uk #sunbeltrentals @Craigsexton@sunbeltrentals.co.uk

"Imagine a healthcare unit that modifies lighting, temperature, and sound to optimise patient recovery based on specific care needs and the time of day. Or imagine an office that recognises its occupant’s moods and responds by creating a more calming atmosphere, or adjusts the environment to promote wellbeing, demonstrating empathy and improving care." Does this remind you of a scene from a sci-fi movie? 🌌 Principal research consultant Eirini Tsouknida discusses the hashtag #sentientbuildings research program in her latest insight 'What if our buildings could talk?'.
