Our team made some DIY mushroom ornaments out of clementine peels and sticks to add to our plant wall. We love a good reuse project to celebrate the holidays! These ornaments feel festive for both Halloween and Christmas, somehow...

🎃 Happy Halloween 🎃 Halloween is a fun and spooky time, but let’s make sure the frights stay on the fun side! As the nights grow darker and the pumpkins are lit, here are some quick tips to help you avoid fire hazards: 1. Use LED Candles for Pumpkins: LED candles are a great alternative to open flames. They keep your pumpkins glowing without the risk of overheating or burning, letting you enjoy the fun safely. 2. Decorate house parties safely: When decorating for Halloween, be mindful of where you hang items. Keep decorations away from candles, fireplaces, or any open flames to prevent accidental fires. 3. Test your smoke alarm: Before hosting a Halloween party, take a moment to test your smoke alarms. It’s an easy way to increase safety and have some peace of mind while you celebrate. 4. Educate the little ones: Costumes are exciting but can be a hazard near flames. Make sure kids know the "Stop, Drop, and Roll" technique, so they know what to do if their costume catches fire. By taking these simple precautions, you can enjoy Halloween festivities while keeping everyone safe. Stay spooky, and have a hauntingly good time! 👻 #firesafety #safetyfirst #avoidhazards #CentralFS #hazardfree #Halloweenfiresafety

Here are some fantastic tips for celebrating the season without overspending: 🧚🏼 DIY Costumes: Get crafty and make your own costumes using items you already have at home. Thrift stores are treasure troves for unique and affordable finds! 🎃 Pumpkin Alternatives: Instead of carving pumpkins, decorate them with paint or stickers. It’s less messy and you can use them for other fall decor later! 🧁 Host a Potluck Party: Invite friends over for a spooky potluck! Everyone brings a dish, and you get to enjoy a variety of treats without spending a fortune. 🍿 Free Local Events: Check out local community events, they’re often free or have a minimal cost and are a great way to enjoy the holiday spirit. 👻 Repurpose Decorations: Use what you have at home to create a festive atmosphere. Old sheets can become ghostly figures, and a few candles can add to the eerie ambiance! Halloween Fire Safety: Tips to Protect Your Home and Loved Ones. Every year on October 31st, neighborhoods come alive with spooky decorations, glowing pumpkins, and excited trick-or-treaters. Halloween is a night where imagination runs wild—from eerie haunted houses to creative costumes—but behind the fun and fright, there’s a lesser-known history of the holiday and hidden dangers that come with it. Carving pumpkins, trick-or-treating, and wearing scary costumes are some of the time-honored traditions of Halloween. Yet, the holiday has its roots in the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (a Gaelic word pronounced “SAH-win”), a pagan celebration marking the end of summer and the start of the harvest. As Halloween creeps closer, don't let fire safety slip into the shadows! The NFPA reports that an average of 835 home fires start with decorations each year, with nearly half caused by decorations placed too close to a heat source and about a third ignited by candles. A few simple precautions can help make sure Halloween remains a festive, fire-safe holiday. Keep decorations away from open flames, opt for battery-operated candles in jack-o-lanterns, and stay aware of fire hazards at parties and trick-or-treating events. A little extra caution goes a long way in keeping everyone safe. #FireSafety #halloween #firesafety #firesafetytips

Hello Autumn Lovers! October has arrived, bringing with it vibrant foliage, crisp air and the excitement of Halloween! This month, it's all about cozy jumpers, pumpkin spice and spooky celebrations. Did you know that October takes its name from the Latin word ‘octo’, meaning eight. This reflects its position as the eighth month in the ancient Roman calendar. When January and February were added, making October the tenth month, the name remained, although the numerical order changed. Today, October is associated with the arrival of autumn in the northern hemisphere, with harvest festivals, autumn colours and, of course, Halloween! As we embrace the spirit of the season, don't forget to take some time for yourself amidst the hustle and bustle. Whether it's curling up with a good book or sipping a hot cup of cider, savour every moment. And don't forget to order your calendars for 2025. Happy October from Kliemo. #marketingandadvertising #creative #budgeting #kliemo #sustainability
