Challenges I Encountered in My First Job as an Architect One of my early project was to create detailed designs for the kitchen and wardrobes of a high-rise residential building. At first, I underestimated the scope of the task. But when I counted the number of typologies I needed to work on, I couldn’t help but laugh. It was that kind of laughter where humor meets exhaustion, a blend of pain and determination. I knew I couldn’t afford to flop, so I braced myself and got to work. After completing the first typology, I took it for a review. Predictably, there were corrections, there are always corrections! I wasn’t surprised, so I implemented the adjustments and moved on to the next typologies, confident I was on the right track. However, things took an unexpected turn during a team meeting. I was informed that I needed to produce schedules for everything I had been working on. My heart sank. The thought of manually creating schedules felt overwhelming because it was the only method I knew at the time. But then came a breakthrough. A colleague introduced me to a feature in Revit that could generate accurate and well-organized schedules, provided the correct parameters were embedded in the drawings. This revelation was a game-changer. What initially seemed like a daunting challenge became manageable with the right tool and knowledge. In hindsight, my first challenge was handling the multiple typologies and then tackling the schedules. But thanks to Revit, what could have been a nightmare turned into a learning moment that made me more efficient. Stay tuned, there’s another challenge I’ll share soon. That one gave me an even tougher time😊 #Architect #Architecturedesign #challenges #Revit
