Most co-working spaces offer little to no natural lighting and have cramped working spaces. While some brands have grand lobbies, the actual working spaces can be restrictive. Are co-working spaces still constructive or are they becoming more of a hindrance to human creativity? Share your thoughts in the comments below. I love this beautifully written piece by 3XN/GXN ….….such heartwarming storytelling….I need to feel this buildings embrace ~ “One of the earliest senses we experience in life is that of '𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞'. From the moment we enter the world, we are greeted by the embrace of someone’s arms. ~This fundamental sense of care, ingrained from the beginning of our existence, is a paramount consideration in architecture. As children, we instinctively construct sanctuaries - intimate, sheltered spaces where we dictate the boundaries. ~Later in life, unconsciously, we gravitate towards designs, furnishings and homes that prioritise comfort and security. Whether it's a sunlit wall or a well-cushioned chair, architecture takes on the role of an embracing arm or a steadfast support. In architecture, the quest for comfort encompasses all aspects of human positioning - whether sitting, standing or lying down. The feeling of crawling into a cocoon-like space and enjoying a respite from the noise of everyday life can be the purpose of an architectural design - but our innate nature can also shape the world we enter: 𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬. In order for us to thrive, architecture should extend far beyond mere functionality alone; it should create environments that foster fundamental emotions - simply "being" and embrace the inherent human feelings of comfort, joy, and tranquility. Discover #Klimatorium ~ Our approach seamlessly integrates a protective indoor/outdoor public space, with the building's facade serving as a welcoming area for bypassers and visitors”. 3XN/GXN 🙏🏻 my pm You may have already seen this but I immediately thought of you all when I read this Dr. Parul Minhas Nuria Muñoz Arce Martina Frattura Don H.
