What is Hard Coat Anodizing? Hard anodizing, also called hard coat anodizing, is a form of aluminum anodizing. Specifically, it involves refining aluminum by forming a dense anodic coating of aluminum oxide on the metal surface through electrolysis. Further, in the hard anodizing process, parts of the base aluminum material become fully synchronized with the anodic coating to form a high-strength bond with a thicker surface.
