Fused tomatoes Two tomato fruits coming out from the same place are called fused tomatoes. They are formed when two or more flowers on the same plant fuse together during the early stages of development. This can happen due to environmental factors, such as temperature, humidity, or insect damage. Fused tomatoes are edible and safe to eat, but they may have a different shape, size, or color than normal tomatoes 🍅. #jumokethompson #fusedtomatoes #tomatoes

Winter is bare root season... Planting bare root plants this season will allow them to establish themselves before the growing season begins, taking advantage of cooler temperatures and natural rainfall to promote root growth. This method is preferred for its cost-effectiveness and ease of transplanting compared to container-grown plants. 🌳 Plant your deciduous fruit trees such as apples, pears, plums, peaches, nectarines, and exotic varieties. 🥕 In your veggie patch, sow spinach, carrots, sweet peas, broad beans, celery, potatoes, garlic, and radish. 🌿 In the herb garden, try your hand with coriander, chamomile, and nasturtiums. Whatever you're cultivating, enhance it with Verasoil Organic Worm Castings to promote the health, growth, and flavour of your home-grown produce! 🍅✨ Embracing the sweetness of quality soil! 🌱🔬 Today, I whipped out my pocket refractometer to do some Brix testing on a few tomatoes. The results? Astonishing! My homegrown organic biological tomatoes scored 10% to 38% higher in sugar content compared to store-bought conventional ones. 📈🌿 Why does this matter? Brix testing isn’t just about numbers—it’s a window into soil health and plant vitality. When we nurture our soil with biological methods, like using Grozome premium craft compost to boost beneficial microbes, we see the difference in flavor, texture, and nutrient density. It’s proof that a little care in our gardens can yield amazing results on our plates. 🍽️✨ I hope you can see too the practicality of Brix testing and the joy of growing food that’s not just good for us, but tastes incredible too! 🌟👩🌾 Ditch the toxic chemicals and grow your own clean food.
