Here's a secret that Human Resources does not want you to know: Your HR Department should be working to create a professional work environment that operates a lot like a "good school." In reality, employees should be developed into overcoming their own internal resistance to change as a result of and through the work being done––no matter the industry. Companies owe their employees more than technical upgrades to their skill sets, and have a moral obligation to equip each employee with adaptive leadership abilities.
