American employees are experiencing an unprecedented streak of record high job security. According to new data released today, 0.9% of employees were fired by their boss in June. For context, the smallest % fired in 20+ years of monthly data pre-pandemic was 1.1%; we are below that. Further, we have been at or below that level for more than a year straight. Since Jan 2021, we have been at or below it 95% of months.
