I'm thrilled to share my recent experience participating in Aerothon 6, a prestigious hackathon organized by Airbus. The journey began with an intense first round that tested our problem-solving skills with challenging DSA questions. I was excited to clear this round and advance to the finals. 🌟 In the final round, we were presented with a complex and intriguing problem: to find the shortest possible route from a starting point to a destination, ensuring good weather conditions and addressing any potential issues with the airplane or internal software. Our task was to develop a fully responsive solution that catered to both admin and user perspectives. ✈️🌤️ Despite my best efforts, I couldn't complete the application on my own due to the need for a collaborative team effort and a diverse skill set. However, this experience has been incredibly enriching and has fueled my determination to be even more prepared for future challenges. 🔥🤝 Participating in Aerothon 6 has been a fantastic learning opportunity, and I'm eager to take on more such exciting challenges and ace them with a strong team and enhanced skills! 🚀💡 #Hackathon #Aerothon6 #Airbus #TechChallenges #LearningExperience #FutureReady #Innovation #TeamWork

Student Leader of Arts, Tech, and Business Innovation Dedicated to – Uplifting Communities | Strategically Elevating Brands | Intersectional Education | New & Emerging Tools
It's an honor to research and develop things for overlooked individuals. Yesterday, my friends and classmates presented our first round of research on the status of in-flight entertainment (IFE) to Thales Group, a big player in the technology and aerospace sectors, building solutions and enhancing experiences, across the board. Here's what we presented, and what we learned from our feedback: Our research briefed them on the top competitors, where the industry was headed, and what passengers commonly complained about– the things that hurt the otherwise positive experiences. Top annoyances, included flight delays, inconsiderate passengers, and children on flights. We honed in on that last part, and asked ourselves, "What is the problem, and how do we encapsulate it?" With that, our problem statement was born: A family traveling with a child who feels overwhelmed, and even embarrassed about their child's disruptive behavior needs to find a way to entertain the child, but they are limited by the restrictions of an economy seat, and the adult-oriented in-flight entertainment options available. With all of this presented, what did Thales have to say about what we shared? They were intrigued– but also had key information that pushed us to reevaluate our findings, and further expand into the OVERALL flyer journey– from entering the departure airport to exiting at the arrival destination, and in turn solving the problem we wished to address. Overall, it's been a tremendous experience, and from here on we'll be elevating our research to present a final, concrete outline for them (and another stakeholder company 👀 🏗️) at the end of this semester. #ResearchAndDevelopment #InnovationInAerospace #ThalesGroup #InFlightEntertainment #TechForFamilies #AerospaceTechnology #UserExperienceDesign #HumanCenteredDesign #PassengerExperience #InclusiveInnovation #AviationTech #FamilyTravelSolutions #TechForGood #FutureOfTravel #DesignThinking

AerLabs secures €2.1M Contract with Dutch Ministry for Echo Delivery 🎉 The Dutch Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Waterstaat selected the Echo Environmental Management platform to manage noise impacts of Dutch regional airports. Having access to Echo, the ministry does not only get the capability to monitor noise impacts using ECAC Doc. 29. The platform will also be used to set and track environmental targets. The tool for the ministry will be called CAELUS and will be supported by AerLabs with a multiyear contract. Sander Hartjes, Senior Policy Advisor at Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management: “The Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management sets noise rules and limits around all civil airports in the Netherlands. These control noise, and thus noise nuisance, for inhabitants in the vicinity of airports. Establishing and enforcing these noise limits requires a software platform that can reliably determine the noise around airports based on actual flights (traffic). We selected Aerlabs to deliver the CAELUS tool based on Echo platform because Aerlabs has proven knowledge in the fields of environmental quality, aviation, and software engineering.” Robert Koster, CEO of AerLabs: “Governments play a big role in environment management of aviation. The Dutch ministry has a track record of taking this seriously. We couldn’t have been prouder to supply our platform to them to help manage the environmental impacts of aviation.” Read more about Echo here: https://lnkd.in/evBGeq3d Interested in what Echo can do for your airport? Come and talk to us at Passenger Terminal EXPO & CONFERENCE ✈️ in Frankfurt next week! Send Robert Koster a message to schedule a meeting. #noise #airports #ansp #sustainability #aviation #government #pte

Hi, I’m Laxman Kafle, shining like a beacon of digital success. I often say this when meeting new people because 'Laxman' means 'a sign' or 'symbol'. Fun fact: in the epic Ramayana, Laxman is the devoted brother of Ram, who helped his brother achieve victory and success. I aim to bring that same spirit of dedication and support to my work in marketing. 😅 Lately, I’ve been absolutely fascinated by the advancements in eVTOL technology. Imagine soaring above traffic in an eVTOL taxi! The future of urban air mobility is here, and it’s set to transform our cities and lives. Curious? Check out more about this revolutionary tech at eVTOL.Travel.
