We are proud to make a meaningful contribution to Terminal Industry Committee 4.0 - TIC4.0 with the whitepaper publication on #automation via Dr. Oscar Pernia, which will be presented at the upcoming #CTAC conference hosted by Port Technology International - PTI.   With this whitepaper as a starting point, TIC4.0 aims to propel terminal automation to the next level via standardization and interoperability. Conceiving digitalization as a pre-requisite, TIC4.0 establishes some guidelines in the industry to ease automation and facilitate associated system Integration: establishing a pre-defined data and interfaces core to ensure technology solutions will function properly.

🔷 Yesterday, Thursday 7 November, CEN and CENELEC Director General Elena Santiago Cid, alongside ETSI President Jan Ellsberger, was invited by the Hungarian Presidency to speak at the Council of the European Union Working Party for Telecommunications and Information Society. The meeting was an opportunity for in-depth discussions on the strategic importance of standardization and for Member States to learn more about recent development in ICT Standardization. CEN and CENELEC emphasized the key role of the Council in ensuring that European Legislation is consistent with regards to European standards and called for policymakers to engage with European Standardization Organizations (ESOs) as early as possible. #truststandards

#HellasQCI, a project coordinated by GRNET - Greek Research & Technology Network (Greek NREN), operating under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Digital Governance, had the opportunity to engage in productive dialogue with representatives from several National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) involved in their respective National Quantum Communication Infrastructures (#NatQCIs). These discussions involved participants from Poland's PSNC (#PionierQ), Ireland's HEAnet (IrelandQCI), Hungary's KIFU (QCIHungary), and Cyprus' CYNET (CYQCI). The discussions included the technical challenges, the solutions and the future collaborations of the NatQCIs and the NRENs for the deployment of the national quantum key distribution networks.
