Pregnancy Activity trimester 1: Dads matter too! Talk to your partner about how involved they would like to be with your baby once they are born. Talk about specific ways in which they can get involved - reading stories, bathing, playing with bricks, feeding - there are loads of different ways in which a dad can interact with even a tiny, tiny baby. Why are you are doing it? Research shows us that fathers who interact with their young babies from an early age may be helping their cognitive (brain) development. Research has suggested there is a link between dads interaction and brain development, although there is still much more research that needs to be done into this subject. It's clever, isn't it?! In what way will your partner choose to be involved? Share so that we create a list of brilliant ideas! #dadsmatter #dadsmattertoo #oliikiapp #edtech #homelearning #first1000days

What are the key considerations for spinal decompression? When contemplating spinal decompression therapy, it's crucial to be mindful of several factors to ensure safety and effectiveness. • Active Fracture: Decompression therapy isn't recommended for individuals with an active fracture, as it could potentially worsen their condition. • Pregnancy: For pregnant individuals, spinal decompression on the back is not advisable due to safety concerns. • Large Herniation: A significant herniation, typically around 2.2 cm to 2.5 cm (approximately an inch), may require careful evaluation and possibly alternative treatment approaches. These considerations help tailor treatment plans to each individual's needs, ensuring the best possible outcomes and minimizing risks associated with spinal decompression therapy.💡 #SpinalDecompressionSafety #PatientCare #TreatmentConsiderations #HolisticHealth

Having monochorionic twins is a rare thing! Only around 3-4 pregnancies in 1000 are twins sharing a placenta, meaning they're pretty special. However, that shared placenta does cause some complications, with around 1/4 of these pregnancies having some kind of complication. TTTS, TAPS, SFGR, and TRAP, and also around 1% will share the same amniotic sac. These complications are serious, and are not mutually exclusive, meaning that they can also happen in combinations. That's why we advocate for screening every 2 weeks with this type of pregnancy, with more screening if necessary- and each time, the brain, bladders, fluids and flow are checked. (BBFF) Is your MFM your BBFF? Check out our easy to remember screening mnemonic here - https://bit.ly/3wOxYfm #rarediseaseday #raretwins #ttts #taps #sfgr #trap #tapssupport
