Impressive group of High Precision technology companies at the annual #EPHJ event last week in Geneva.... with many Global Swiss Leaders. Too many (700+) exhibitors to see in my short visit, but I particularly liked these innovative companies: 💡 Tigen and ELCA Group presenting an amazing new manufacturing concept for enabling personalized medicine in cancer treatment. Their Industrial IoT architecture allows them to setup fully controlled manufacturing of individual drugs exactly where its needed (in hospitals) to save on complex cold-chain logistics; this possible through #microfactories, rather than traditional centralized production. Thanks to Daniel Daguerre and Antoine MAISON for the insightful presentation. 💡 Microqubic's CEO Yuksel Temiz demoed the 3D microscope he has developed completely on his own, which is generating massive interest. It shows that with ingenuity and modern manufacturing tools (eg 3D printing) it is still possible to develop a brand-new product from scratch from one's garage/home. 💡 KEYPROD demoed an ingenious concept for monitoring production status with zero digital interfacing requirement. Their device which sits on top of a machine, measures vibration which through their software algorithm which analyses the frequencies, they can monitor part production/count, machine usage, as well as machine failure (predictive maintenance).
