The Institute for Jewish Policy Research are an excellent resource for the latest research into the Jewish community in the UK and their latest report is a big one! A landmark study of Jews in the UK has given us the best insight into the experiences of Jewish life across Britain. It's likely that some data may have changed slightly since October 7th (the survey closed prior to the invasion of Israel) but the findings remain important to any organisation wanting to better support their Jewish colleagues. Some headline stats for you... ✡ 25% of UK Jews are atheist 🕯 Remembering the Holocaust and combating antisemitism have become noticeably more important to British Jews over the past decade 🚗 20% do not switch on lights and 23% never travel in a car on Shabbat 🥗 39% of UK Jews follow all Kashrut (Kosher) diet laws 🌍 British Jews report having stronger Jewish identities than British identities 💙 73% of British Jews feel either very or somewhat attached to Israel 👩💼 7% said they had experienced antisemitic discrimination at work 🚨 The more attached people are to Israel, the more likely they are to report having experienced an antisemitic incident Jews may make up a tiny proportion of the UK population but that doesn't mean inclusion work should exclude them. Have a read and listen to the podcast...i'd love to hear how you are improving Jewish inclusion in your workplace! #Jewish #Inclusion #Antisemitism #Judaism #DEI #equality #diversity
