Ariel Palli Miranda’s Post

TAMY - Taller de Arquitectura Moderna de Yucatán I had the honor of co-coordinating, alongside Architect Henry Ponce, an academic project with architecture and design students focused on Colonia México, one of Mérida, Yucatán's most iconic neighborhoods, which holds valuable examples of modern architecture. Through critical analysis and innovative proposals, we explored how to rethink respectful and creative interventions in an area rich in history and cultural significance. The main goal was to revalue modern architectural heritage, integrating it into the current urban dynamics while highlighting its cultural identity. From interpreting the historical and aesthetic values of these spaces to conceptualizing contemporary design strategies, the students displayed remarkable commitment and sensitivity to the context. This experience highlights the importance of connecting academia and heritage preservation, fostering an ongoing dialogue between the past and the future. 🌿 💡 How can we continue creating meaningful impact in valuing our cities and their architectural memory? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences! #ModernArchitecture #CulturalHeritage #UrbanDesign #InnovationAndContext #AcademicCollaboration
