Like every other industry, our insurance industry has got so many challenges. In the last 12 years, I’ve seen it evolving and overcoming many of those challenges in front of my eyes Insurance industry used to be considered one to the slow moving industry. From the decade long running projects, our industry is now building collaborating partners and deploying solutions in weeks and days Insurance industry used to be considered dull in not attracting young and diverse talents Today I’m seeing insurers, reinsurers and brokers all encouraging young talent to join them by offering work experiences, internships and graduate programs etc. The change is constant and one of the oldest industry is ready to embrace that change. #Insurance #reinsurance #broking #londonmarket #insurtech #changeleadership #growth #strategy

Some of my favorites to learn about have been roles within a brokerage, captives and emerging trends in the industry. I am eager to apply what I have learned to my work and personal life. Finance Banking Student | ASU🐺 | CEO of Brew Crew Bartending LLC🥂 | Seeking Opportunities in Insurance and Banking🤝
Regardless of the career you plan to pursue within the insurance industry, I highly recommend gaining experience in claims. I have had the privilege of being a part of Shelter Insurance’s claims internship program. Understanding the claims process is vital knowledge to help guide decisions across the different functions of insurance organizations. Using claims as the cornerstone of your insurance knowledge emphasizes having a comprehensive understanding of coverages and focusing on customer needs. Knowing the most about your product helps shift the industry to a customer-focused selling style. Whether you are seeking a career as an agent or in a leadership role, knowing who needs what gives you an edge over others. I also believe that experience like this could help with career advancement in the industry, or at least I hope it does! While insurance is a forever-evolving industry, the knowledge of claims remains vital. I highly recommend learning about the claims process using whatever method you see fit. I am excited to see where the knowledge of claims and other transferable skills will take me in my future career!

It is no secret the insurance industry is undergoing a workforce transition driven by retirements of experienced talent and low hiring during and following the pandemic. To navigate this transition insurers will need to consider new ways to attract talent including: 🎓Early career exploration programs including apprenticeships and internships for college and high school students. Younger talent often lacks awareness of what the career paths available at a point in their lives when they are making education and career plans. 🌎Communicating the value of an insurance career beyond “stability”. Younger generations care deeply about societal challenges associated with sustainability and physical and financial wellness, all of which insurers have a role in solving. Do you agree? In case we weren’t on your radar yet, we wanted to tell you that there are exciting things happening in the Insurance industry that could be perfect for you. Imagine if what you do in your job every day made a genuine difference to the lives of the community you live in. For example, increasing awareness of road safety, working with government to develop better policies around natural disaster management, or contributing to the build of more resilient homes. Insurance isn’t just about premiums and claims. It’s about risk management and educating customers on how to evaluate, plan for and manage their financial risks, that is – ‘building futures and protecting what matters’. It’s the perfect industry for a business student like yourself to put your education into practice. We have roles across Australia across several streams including Underwriting, Risk Management, Human Resources, Accounting and Technology (and more). Internship and graduate roles available, all paid and supported with training, plus you’ll be part of the growing Suncorp graduate community. Interns start 18 Nov, and grads start 28 Jan 2025. We know you’re busy, so we’ve kept our initial application process to one hour, and you’ll receive an automatic feedback report so you know how you went. Applications close Monday 26 August. It’s your time to shine! https://lnkd.in/eXBPHxPz

🚀 Created an fund and its fundfactsheet during my internship! 🚀 I began by diving into various sectors and used the decision matrix technique to meticulously rank them. From the top 10 sectors, I filtered the top-performing companies by analyzing a range of parameters such as growth rate, profitability, market share, and innovation. This detailed and insightful process helped me identify the best opportunities in the market. A huge thanks to Future Generali Life Insurance for their invaluable guidance throughout this project. Their support and expertise were crucial in refining my approach and ensuring the fundsheet's success. Looking forward to leveraging these insights for future investment strategies! 🌟 #Finance #InvestmentStrategy #MarketAnalysis #TopPerformers #DataDriven #FinancialPlanning #InvestmentSuccess #BusinessGrowth
