Growing up, I had a narrow mindset that only clergymen were servants of God, chosen and called by Him. I aspired to become a servant of God as a clergy, specifically a Reverend Father. In my imagination, this role meant being pure, holy, sanctified, wise, and having the attention and respect of others, while serving as a spokesman for God. However, about five to ten years ago, I had an epiphany: every person created by God has a unique calling and purpose. Unfortunately, we often limit our understanding of God's calling to the pulpit and clergy. In reality, God's calling is not confined to a specific profession or role. You can be called to be a lawyer, doctor, businessman, hospitality professional, IT specialist, financier, manager, public speaker, or pursue any other career. When you allow God to express Himself through your work, you are living out your calling. As the Bible says, "Whatever your hands find to do, do it as unto God" (Colossians 3:23). You too can be a servant of God in your current role. Start today by dedicating your work to God and serving Him through your profession. Enjoy a fulfilling week ahead. In my year with Samaritan's Purse, I have come to realize that my work goes far beyond filling positions. Every day, my team has the incredible opportunity to embody the love and compassion of Jesus through the hiring process. We are not just looking at resumes, we are seeking hearts aligned with the mission of the Gospel. We are not just talking with candidates, we are building relationships with other brothers & sisters in Christ. We are not just hiring new employees, we are sending workers into the mission field. Every one of us has a gift. I urge you today, whatever your role in ministry, be it human resources, finance, security, etc., to "use {your gifts} to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace."

Limitation of Men Men have good plans and intentions most of the time with you in mind but sometimes because of situations beyond their control they may default in fulfilling these promises made on their own volition/accord. The inherent limitation that affects all men from carrying out dutifully promises made exists. Therefore you must learn to regulate the trust/confidence you put in men because men may fail you at the point of great expectation. Be conservatively regulated in your expectations of people. Pray to God on their behalf to help them so that they do not disappoint you. When you do this you supply strength in order to mitigate/guard against disappointments from unfulfilled promises. Trust in the Lord more than you trust in men because he is capable of supplying strength and help to all men without fail. Be expectant and hopeful when promises are made but never remain idle in your expectations. Back it up with prayer to God on behalf of the man. And God will fulfill your every need through men.
