This form of propulsion will NEVER make multiplanetary space travel practical. This is a truth that many in the space industry just cannot admit. Yet, how many #space trade industry sites say "We need more advanced propulsion systems!" The irony. Most of the energy is being lost/misallocated JUST for the mass to carry enough fuel up to deliver a tiny space capsule into orbit - which doesn't really even cover #deepspace travel or propulsion required once the crew capsule is up there.
