Arkansas Economic Development Commission’s Post

Today is the latest milestone in a major economic development project in Arkansas. Back in October 2020, we received an RFI from Global Location Strategies for Project Treehouse – which was the codename for a major manufacturing project with Trex Company. The economic development team in Central Arkansas worked this project tirelessly, and in October 2021, Trex announced that Little Rock would be the location for this facility. When completed, this project will represent hundreds of millions in capital investment and create over 500 new jobs in the Natural State. A large group including Governor Sanders, CEO Bryan H. Fairbanks, community leaders and the skilled team from Gray Construction gathered at the Port of Little Rock today to celebrate the steel topping off for the flagship building at Trex’s Little Rock campus. It was a beautiful day for an event and an honor to spotlight this great company. This has been a long-term project for Arkansas, and we’re looking forward to many more years of partnership with Trex.
