SHINE ! Tigar Tires and Belgrade University of Technology and Metallurgy (TMF) UNLEASHED a monumental convergence of minds! Witness the electrifying debut of student solutions, forged in the crucible of innovation, to tackle Tigar Tires' challenge: purifying extrusion cooling lines. From 13 aspirants, only 3 dared to reach the pinnacle, culminating in the coronation of 1 triumphant victor, bestowed with the prestigious Tigar Tires Scholarship. In a symphony of academia and industry, the barriers shattered as TMF and Tigar Tires united in a harmonious crescendo of collaboration. The fruits of this alliance are a testament to the boundless potential when academia and industry march hand in hand. Eager anticipation grips us, yearning for the next crucible of challenges to be conquered, and the next chapter of innovation to be inscribed in the annals of progress.

📢📢📢METAL Trade Fair's new format ❗ 🔔🔔 This year's METAL Expo and its accompanying exhibitions come in a slightly refreshed format. The expo cluster will be held for 2️⃣ days (previously, this has been a three-day event). Thus, the foundry industry event will be held on 24-25|09|2024 in Kielce📅❗ 👉 Having carried out extensive consultations and analysis of the current #foundry market and the industry situation, we have decided to help companies reduce the costs associated with coming to Kielce and participating in the event which has been held for almost three decades... 👉 The exhibition in its shorter, i.e. two-day version will not be to the detriment of the event agenda; this alteration has been done to the favor of the companies that have participated in the expo for years. 👉 We analyzed the last expo, and, together with our partners and exhibitors, we concluded that the first two days were the most popular. Thus, continuing the event as a three-day show in the current market conditions is no longer justified. In response to the market and this industry's needs, Congress's offer has been expanded. A significant meeting took place yesterday, organized by Professor Fabio Miani of the Università degli Studi di Udine, and attended by eminent steel industry luminaries from the University of Cambridge, Professors Sir Harry Bhadeshia and Bill Clyne, together with important research and development representatives of steel companies. During the event, the professors shared their forward-looking visions on the future of the sector, offering points to ponder and possible directions for development. Ergolines, a cutting-edge company located in the Padriciano Area Science Park, has proven to be a driver of technological development, presenting its recent innovations in the application of ultrasonic waves and vision tools for the improvement of production processes. These technologies aim to achieve crucial goals such as safety, product quality and environmental sustainability. Companies attending the event shared their experiences and needs, creating a fertile ground for dialogue and knowledge exchange. These moments of encounter between academia, industry and research are of fundamental importance for the progress of the steel sector, enabling different actors to collaborate towards common goals of innovation and sustainable development.
