With Central Europe and the dynamics of regional political cooperation among those states through the many sub-formats getting more and more attention, experts from The Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM) will present key finding from their recent report at the PISM Washington DC Office. Important to the discussion will be how regional cooperation changed following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine and possible directions for the future development of deeper cooperation in the context of NATO and the European Union

Quick summary of the meeting between president Duda and president Yoon- the majority of media continue to report that both leaders condemned recent actions undertaken by DPRK and Russia, in particular dispatch of North Korean troops to Ukrainian- Russian battlefront. They are also said to have established positive outlook on continuing trade between Poland and South Korea. Having check the website of Polish presidential office, in an official statement (English version unavailable at the time of reporting) that sums- up the visit, one can read: In his declaration, president Andrzej Duda stated: “I have shared with the president of the ROK, my worries regarding the state of things, which do cause a sense of distress here in the Korean Peninsula. I have given my assurance that Poland, as a neutral country, will continue to do its best in order to prevent from any skirmishes and to maintain peace at the Korean Peninsula”. President Duda also added, that the situation is being closely monitored in Warsaw, reminding of Poland’s membership in Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission (NNSC). As much as, maintaining the position of a ‘neutral country’ in the South- North Korean conflict is a matter of great importance, the Polish state (particularly considering the ever- evolving situation in the war on Ukraine) does strive to continue investments in military sector- elements of which could be provided by the South Korean side.
