Being in the learning and development space myself, I have found that it can be challenging to keep learners engaged and motivated throughout their learning journey, so I was very excited to learn about Tammy Banks' three-part webinar series on meeting learners' evolving needs. So far, I have only attended two webinars and below are my takeaways: - Having cameras on/off during training should be a choice. - Polls are useful for checking knowledge. (I personally vouch for this!) - Accelerated learning is a quick win because of its interactive and immersive elements which increase learner engagement and motivation! - Ask learners what would make their learning impactful (Personal tip: Gather feedback continuously and adjust as needed throughout. Learners will thank you 🙂). Looking forward to learning new techniques to apply in my space alongside my colleagues and fellow facilitators 🙂.

Full on workshop/course creation mode today! This one will start its life as an in-person workshop at a conference. The content, including learning objectives, is built out, and now I'm working on instructional strategies and engagement activities. Not launching a poll today, but 👉👉👉 asking for responses in the comments. 🤷🏻♀️ When you're at an in-person workshop, and it's time to discuss, process, and reflect on the learning, or do an activity, would you rather: A. Work alone. B. Work with one partner. C. Work in small table groups. D. Get up, move around the room to work with a partner/small group from another table. E. None of these (please describe what you would prefer) F. Depends on the activity. I'm up for (almost) anything! ⭐️ Feel free to identify as many as you like! P.S. Is there anything here you absolutely dislike doing at a workshop? #professionallearning #professionaldevelopment #learning #activelearning #teaching #facilitation

🚨 Avoiding Common Pitfalls in Trainer Presentations 🚨 Delivering training is more than just presenting information—it’s about engagement, clarity, and impact. However, many trainers fall into common traps that hinder learning. Here are some key pitfalls to avoid: ✅ Overloading with Information – Too much detail can overwhelm learners. Keep it concise and focused. ✅ Reading from Slides – Slides should support, not replace, the trainer. Engage your audience, don’t just read! ✅ Ignoring Interaction – Learning sticks when learners are involved. Ask questions, encourage discussions, and make it interactive! ✅ Lack of Structure – A well-structured session keeps learners engaged. Plan a clear beginning, middle, and end. Avoid these pitfalls and transform your training delivery! 🚀 👉 Read more: https://buff.ly/3CtE4K2 #TrainTheTrainer #PresentationSkills #LearningAndDevelopment #EngagingTraining #TrainerTips
