During a recent program, the ladies enjoyed a wake up/warm up routine that included self massage techniques along with deep breathing using the whole torso, followed by arm and leg movements. As we synchronized our breathing, we worked on our balance. It was a little challenging, and everyone stayed upright! How we are feeling affects our bodies. Sharing our thoughts through art can be healing. We looked through old postcards that displayed a variety of people...famous celebrities, old movie scenes, and people from around the world. The cards were great for generating discussions. The cards brought out many smiles and stories of how the week had been (some good, some not so good). Our task was to choose one postcard representing the past week, and another representing our hopes for the coming week(s). This was a truly impactful exercise!

Empowering Global Learners to Navigate New Horizons: Transformative Embodiment Coaching for Cultivating Confidence and Connection in Multilingual Minds
Have you consciously taken a deep breath today? If not, I'd say do it now. If so, I'd still say do it now. I don't think we can do this too often. Have you ever tried something after taking a deep breath and clearing your head, that went worse than if you hadn't checked in with your body first? My guess would be "no". Try it a few times today! Deep breath before you rush into the next thing to do. Deep breath before you walk into another room. Deep breath before you get into that discussion with your kid. Do you often think that, in hindsight, you could've done or said things differently? Then this could be a good practice to start with. The more we take a moment to focus on our breath and check in with ourselves, the easier it becomes to make choices that feel better. In our home, we remind each other by saying "feet". This means we take a breath and feel our feet on the ground. This 2-second check-in can make a big difference throughout the day. How have little check-ins like this helped you?

Somehow slowing down in the moment seems easier lately. It's amazing how I let my lower driving and striving thoughts control me. What a gift to realize joy is found in the moment just as it is. As you breathe, feel, touch, listen, smell and taste the world around you, you discover an inner calm that was forgotten in the chaos. Please share in the comments how this practice works for you. #eckharttolle #presentmoment #holisticwellness #BeTheBestYouCanBe #biosynergybetterhealth

Have you ever gone on an “awe walk"? I'm an avid fitness geek, but an awe walk benefits something entirely different than keeping the body in shape. Every morning and again in early evening, I walk our dog in a nearby field. While she wanders in the maze of shrubs, I study the sky, the formation of the trees and the jag of those incredible mountains off in the distance. It's here my head unwinds. Things I've been deliberating or worrying over become clear. It's here I come up with some of my best ideas. These awe walks help restore and build my creative resilience. The New York Times wrote about awe walks: “Awe can help calm the nervous system, reduce inflammation and foster a sense of community (even if you experience the emotion alone). People who took awe walks, one study found, felt more upbeat and hopeful than walkers who did not.” In addition to being good for your health, a lift of the gaze, a new scent can interrupt the day to day and provide a fresh perspective. And they’re not hard to do! Pick a place you’ve never been. Turn off your phone - or better yet, leave it at home - and start walking. Pay attention to your senses. When something catches your attention, stop, pause and feel. Or simply notice the sky. #creativity #resilience #trysomethingnew #walking #generations #knowledgeworkers

Did you know that a simple smile can make a world of difference 😊 It's incredible how something as small as a smile can have such a significant impact on our lives and the lives of those around us. Not only does smiling instantly boost our mood and make us feel happier, but it also has the power to brighten someone else's day. In fact, research has shown that smiling is contagious! When we smile at others, it can create a ripple effect, spreading positivity and kindness wherever we go. Whether it's a friendly smile to a colleague in the hallway or a warm grin to a stranger on the street, each smile has the potential to make someone feel seen, valued, and appreciated. As we navigate through our busy lives, it's easy to forget the power of a smile. But let's challenge ourselves to spread a little more joy each day by simply sharing our smiles with the world. Who knows? Your smile could be the light that someone desperately needs in their day. 😊✨ So, let's keep smiling, Together, we can make the world a brighter and happier place. 😊 #KeepSmiling #SpreadJoy #PositiveVibes

Are you noticing that you feel disconnected from yourself recently? Maybe you are feeling stressed and weighed down by your daily responsibilities or habits. Perhaps you want to let go of heavy feelings and create space for something that feels better, but you’re not sure how. Practicing Breathwork can help you process and release hard feelings while allowing you to experience peace, calm, and clarity. What is Breathwork? It is the practice of deliberately controlling one’s breath by breathing in a specific pattern for a set amount of time. It is a physical and emotional practice that enables you to move out of your head and into your body. Practicing breathwork has many benefits, such as activating your vagus nerve. This activation positively impacts your nervous system, enabling you to move from the sympathetic (“fight-flight-freeze”) into the parasympathetic (“rest & digest”). Purposely moving into the parasympathetic response allows our bodies to heal, with feelings of calm and peace becoming accessible to us. Curious about trying a Trauma-Informed approach to Breathwork? If you are a parent and you haven't yet educated your child on healthy breathing habits, now is the time to do so. That being said, sometimes you need to learn more to 'join the dots'. A recent parent who went on to get the right support said, "There is no way we would have joined the dots without you and I am ever so thankful..." ... 🔴 My resources to help you: - FREE TEDx TALK - How To Optimise Your Breathing Habits - FREE MASTERCLASS - How To Recognise Your Current Breathing Habits - EDUCATIONAL STORYBOOK FOR FAMILIES - Rose Loses Her Nose - EDUCATIONAL CALL FOR PARENTS - 20 mins (paid) 👉 All available on my LiNK BREATHING website (visit via profile or google as LinkedIn links are a little buggy 🐞 right now) #HowWeBreatheMatters #Parents #TEDxSpeaker P.S.
