💡 Key takeaway: To truly advance social justice, we must engage our collective imagination. It’s not just about thinking outside the box - it's about reimagining the box entirely, together. Ubuntu teaches us that our individual identities are deeply intertwined, and it’s through this collective reimagining that we can create meaningful, equitable change.
🌍 By harnessing the power of imagination, we can devise real-world solutions to the pressing issues of our time. But this requires us to move beyond the limitations of existing systems that perpetuate inequity.
🖊️ It’s time to write ourselves into the story - collectively.

The March release of "Let's Talk". Instead of a monthly article, this is a speech I delivered at Arizona State University's Next Gen Service Corp Conference.
The speech is titled "Permission to Believe in Better", aimed at helping you find your agency to change the world. I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback.

The Learn | Do | Inspire Guy • I help companies build human-centered changeability at scale • Corporate CLO turned tech founder • From lifting a few to lifting the many
As with most emerging companies, challenges are numerous and progress is precious. It’s easy to lose your way.
I wrote the song “The Place We All Belong” to express my thanks to our team at Rali for creating a culture where people are valued, appreciated, and connected to our mission and each other.
The song is also a wish. A wish that it might help others create a conversation with their team or organization about what makes your place THE PLACE you all belong.
If you have a chance to listen, what comes to mind for you? Do you feel you belong “right here where you are?” Do others? Is it worth a conversation to find ways to create more belonging? Are there things you are doing that are working?

Somatic Coach, Facilitator, Consultant: I help humans, groups, and programs embody change to unlock creative potential and create opportunities for personal+cultural transformation.
A few months ago, while I was in *the void* of personal reflection, I rewatched my TEDx talk from 2015. It brought back a flood of memories from that chapter of my life. Looking back sometimes I can’t believe how lucky this lifetime is that I got to do that work full time.
I'm so grateful for the shaping of me through Clowns Without Borders, and the depth of learning I experienced producing space for joy, recreation and creativity where it is most needed.
As the Director I had a lot of my own professional firsts.
💫 Securing the largest grant (at the time!!) since CWB’s founding in 1995!
💫 Leading my first hiring process + building a team (so fun tbh)
💫 doing things like this TEDx, championing a mission for the first time
Over my five years with the organization, I helped us shift from a volunteer-led group with a burned-out board to a dedicated part-time executive team. These experiences revealed to me the incredible potential of a united team working toward a meaningful cause.
There is an urgency to CWBs work, the internal desire to “work ourselves out of a job”, but the need for the work just grows. We need a cultural revolution!! that empowers more than survival for those of us in the most challenging circumstances.
Access to play, rest, and creative expression is vital for processing experiences and regulating emotions. Enjoyable activities empower individuals and promote a sense of security—something desperately needed in refugee camps and crisis-affected communities.
Many of us live in areas with parks, cultural events, and community spaces, and these resources are often taken for granted. But they are fundamental to creating livable communities and enhancing quality of life.
Remember, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child says that every child deserves the right to play and engage in cultural life. There are more than 47 million displaced children and families lacking access to essential recreational activities and moments of relief. Which can and does greatly impact resilience and healing for all people. As we strive to be good ancestors, let’s prioritize their needs and the joy they deserve.

I had a vision for a fun, engaging video to recap the Centennial's Experience First Workshop last week and showcase some personalities from our great team... executing this was a bigger task than expected (having 10 people in the back say "whoo hoo" on cue being one of those tasks) but everyone chipped in, happily took my feedback and multiple video takes to nail it, and brought my vision to life. I was thrilled as I pieced it all together, posted for the world to see, and began receiving feedback from my colleagues on how much they loved it.
....then almost immediately I felt defeated as I looked at the stats and saw that it didn't get near the reach of a simple post with photos recapping last year's conference.
Will we understand social media algorthims? Doubtful. I can't tell you the countless articles I've read on video performance on LinkedIn but I never see the results. However, it's a good reminder for us creators and marketers, who watch the social media players change algorithms on us daily, to not get too in our heads over the data. You created something great and you should be proud of it!
So I add...
⭐Of course marketing went above and beyond to make a trending TikTok trend to see it go nowhere in terms of reach, impressions and engagement when executed on LinkedIn
⭐Of course I'm not going to let it get me down because my team is awesome and this video makes me smile every time I watch it.
⭐Of course I hope you watch it and those numbers skyrocket (... just kidding... sort of).
Shout out to my amazing colleagues for making this video happen: Tatiana JuarezDeeDee Shashy, CCIM Krista Medlock Tawny RicheyJahnvi PatelKrista WoodBil Blane Ingraham Taylar Laughlin Ashley Collins, and all the background "whoo hoo-ers"! #oneteamonecentennial#socialmedia#tiktoktrend#ofcourse#cremarketing
