ACC-RSA’s Space, Missile Defense & Special Programs director Jeffrey Sullivan, CFCM, MBA, PMP, TS/SCI served as the guest speaker at the monthly HUNTSVILLE AEROSPACE MARKETING ASSOCIATION luncheon held at the Jackson Center in Huntsville, April 11. In his brief, Sullivan provided tips to the audience on how to effectively communicate with the government: • Understand the contracting activity’s leadership and organization structure. • Engage at the right level and develop a relationship. • Less marketing briefs and more “win-win” solutions. • When there is a perceived issue or problem, provide recommendations to the government. • Share best practices from other government agencies. • When requesting a meeting, provide the intent and agenda.

Gertler — one of many notable experts at this event discusses: - What does 21st century airpower look like? - Do budgeteers have the power to optimize for one strategy, or do they have to be ready for all contingencies? 🚀 The aerospace and defense industry needs to be as flexible as ever to meet demand and maintain assets. But here's the catch: program recovery and acceleration are becoming more complex with a dwindling workforce and supply base. Despite all these hurdles, we've seen firsthand that recovery and acceleration are not only possible, but also more within a company's control than leadership may think. Join us at Wharton Aerospace Conference on March 22nd. I will be joined by Shane Gahagan (US Navy), Gabriel Kopin(Ultra Maritime), and Ed Abbo (C3.ai) will discuss this topic on a panel at 2:15pm. If you are unable to join, but are interested in this topic, please reach out and we can share slides / notes. #aerospaceanddefense #aerospaceindustry
