**Reflecting and Celebrating Memorial Day Weekend** As we approach Memorial Day Weekend, it's essential to remember the significance of this holiday. Memorial Day is dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives for our country. Their courage and dedication are the foundation of the freedoms we enjoy today. While we take this time to reflect, let's also ensure we celebrate responsibly. Here are some safety tips to keep in mind over the weekend: 1. **Grill Safely** Ensure your grill is placed away from your home, clean, and never left unattended. Safety first! 2. **Water Safety** Whether at the pool, lake, or beach, always supervise children and swim in designated areas. 3. **Drive Responsibly** Expect increased traffic this weekend. Buckle up, stay alert, and never drink and drive. 4. **Stay Hydrated** With the warm weather, it's crucial to drink plenty of water and take breaks in shaded areas to prevent heat-related illnesses. 5. **Fireworks Caution** If celebrating with fireworks, handle them with care, follow local regulations, and maintain a safe distance. Let's honor our fallen heroes by enjoying this time with our loved ones safely and responsibly. Wishing everyone a meaningful and safe Memorial Day Weekend. #MemorialDay #HonorTheFallen #SafetyFirst

As we approach Memorial Day, it's a time for solemn reflection, not just a long weekend of gatherings and discounts. Here's a gentle reminder: 📌 Shelve the "Happy Memorial Day" messages. Today isn't about happiness but honor and remembrance. 📌 Resist the urge to thank active service members today — though always appreciated, today we remember those we have lost. 📌 Truly grasp the profound significance of the day — it's a solemn remembrance of the ultimate sacrifices made. 📌 It's essential not to let the day slip by unnoticed in daily life. 📌 Political differences should take a backseat as we pay homage to fallen heroes. 📌 When you communicate today, strip away the buzzwords and speak with genuine respect and simplicity. Honor the real heroes who gave everything for us. Take a moment to reflect and honor their courage and sacrifice. #MemorialDay #HonorAndRemember #SolemnTribute #BraveryAndSacrifice #ReflectAndRespect

As we gather to honor Memorial Day, we remember not only those who have served and sacrificed for our country but also the ongoing journey toward healing and justice within our communities. 💛This day serves as a poignant reminder of the cost of war and the importance of nurturing a society that reflects the values we stand for—equality, respect, and dignity for all. ⚖️ In remembering the past, we acknowledge the wounds of social injustices that continue to impact many in our society. Today, we recommit to healing these wounds through education, understanding, and empathy. By fostering environments where healing leads to growth, we strengthen our communities and create a foundation for sustainable peace and prosperity. ☮️ 🕊️ Together, we can transform our collective suffering into a source of strength. United in our diversity and driven by our common goals, we support each other to build a future where everyone enjoys a better quality of life. Let us use this day to reflect on our shared values and reinvigorate our efforts to move forward as one. 🌱 🤲 On this Memorial Day, let us pledge to remember, to heal, and to unite. Together, we build the pillars of a resilient community that honors the sacrifices of the past by crafting a just and hopeful future. 🌟

Check out the newest article from the STL Jewish Light!
Co-Founder at Healing in Nature (HiN) a non-profit that serves as a primary emotional healing resource for IDF veterans.
I recently returned from an inspiring journey across the U.S., and I’m filled with gratitude. This wasn’t a trip for leisure; it was a mission to share the story and impact of Healing in Nature (HiN) and to seek support for a cause that is close to my heart. The warmth, generosity, and open hearts of everyone who joined our events, met for personal conversations and welcomed me into their homes left me truly humbled. Each conversation, and each connection, reminded me why this mission matters so deeply. Here’s a recent interview I did with our wonderful friends and partners, Adam and Emily Wallis, featured in the STL Jewish Light. It offers insight into HiN’s beginnings and how our program is transforming the lives of Israeli veterans. Read the full article here:https://lnkd.in/deNQmUZP Special thanks to everyone who hosted me in Milwaukee, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Kansas City, Toronto, and NYC. If you’d like to join us in supporting our veterans, please take a look here to learn more: https://lnkd.in/d-Hry_P4 With your help, we’re creating a lifeline for IDF veterans, giving them a safe space to heal, reconnect, and find peace. As we approach Memorial Day weekend, I want to take a moment to reflect on the significance of this day. Memorial Day is a time to honor and remember the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage and dedication remind us of the true cost of freedom and the importance of unity and resilience. Lessons Learned: Sacrifice: The selflessness shown by our fallen heroes teaches us the value of putting others before ourselves. Resilience: Despite challenges, we must stay strong and committed to our goals, much like those who served our nation. Unity: In times of hardship, coming together as a community is crucial. Let’s support one another and foster a culture of collaboration and respect. What to Remember: Honor and Respect: Always keep in mind the sacrifices made by our servicemen and women. Show respect and gratitude for their service. Reflection and Gratitude: Use this day to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy and express gratitude to those who protect them. Commitment to Values: Uphold the values of integrity, dedication, and service in all aspects of life, both personally and professionally. Wishing everyone a peaceful and reflective Memorial Day weekend. Let’s remember and honor those who have given everything for our freedom. #MemorialDay #Leadership #RememberAndHonor Thoughtwave Software and Solutions #LessonsLearned

as a storyteller, i count myself lucky to live in a country where i am not overtly limited as a woman, or as a person with disabilities, or because of my religious beliefs or my marital status or anything else. it might be hard and there might be hurdles and accessibility issues and other roadblocks but there is nothing overtly standing between me and the stories i want to tell beyond the challenges of being a filmmaker in general. and i also have the space to work and fight to make those hurdles smaller and the roadblocks less complicated, and the whole process more accessible. i have open access to the internet, social media, international collaboration. i can access whatever books i want to read (even if they are "banned" i can still order them online and get them shipped to my door). there is no government agency outright screening my films and requiring political edits prior to wide release. i can decide which artists i want to collaborate with, i can decide how i want to tell the stories i want to tell, i can distribute the movies i make online on countless platforms either under paid contracts or for free because i just want to share. i can travel the world and pitch the stories i want to tell and collaborate with co-producers and distributors around the world. i can decide what clients i want to work with, what types of people i want to support, and what type of work i want to do to support them. i can crowdfund, i can work with investors, i can earn my own money or manage space dream productions to earn money to fund the films i want to make. as an american, i can acknowledge that there might be a lot of problems with america right now - even as a citizen of the western world in general there are of course lots of problems. but i am endlessly thankful to have the freedom to even talk about it. i might not know everyone who has laid down their life defending that freedom, but i am thankful for every single one of them. i hope you had a meaningful day today. and i hope while facing any challenges or opposition or people who don't agree with you or problems that you see in the world - i hope you face it knowing you have the space to face it in the first place. and that is more than some people in the world have. the world might need lots of improvement, but i'm reflecting today on the freedoms we have and working to remember that freedom more when facing anything i have to face.
We're thankful to live in a country where we have the freedom to have our own thoughts, opinions, dreams, and choices. And we're thankful for every single human who has put the lives and freedoms of other people ahead of their own life, and paid the ultimate price for it. We hope you had a meaningful Memorial Day today. And if you're seeing this after Memorial Day, we hope the sentiments carry through to the rest of the year. #MemorialDay
