Very often, what we see in leadership is people acting on emotions. I know this is an ugly truth, but what is being lorded over people right now is fear, shame and guilt; tools of oppression. Parvez Anwar nails it with this post; it's worth a watch. To stop the trauma we see in humanity now, we need to go into this. What is a future where we heal the previous guilt? Where we do not act with shame or fear? We act with compassion 💗! What would we do then? It would not be another genocide! This statement, IMO, is free of bias and comes from the truth about colonization and occupation of people, their land, their freedoms and liberties. Everyone is encouraged to listen with an open mind and a compassionate heart. We are at a delicate balance in our humanity. We must begin to unite against violence and war as well as the oppression of ANY human beings. If we do not find peaceful, equitable solutions and end the violence, we may very well destroy the world and all of humanity on this planet earth. Is this the future we wish to create for future generations? We need to repair our brokenness.
