What people like to see is succeeding in public, not building in public. But default to transparency, even when it's uncomfortable. It's tempting only to showcase highlights reel moments publicly. But trust is built when people see you're a real human facing real struggles. Share the messy middle, not just the smooth beginning and end. Admit mistakes and missteps and share learned lessons along the way. The obstacles you overcome will make the view from the top that much sweeter. Transparency will build trust. Trust will build community. And the community will build lasting connections.
