When you hear ‘team building’ do you silently groan? It doesn't have to be a dreary ordeal filled with paper bridge constructions. Done well team building can be an absolute blast! Because as you know, we think it's more than ok to actually have fun at work! If you treat your team members like the actual people they are, you can all do any activity that isn't cringy mandofun; like asking a group of people to make a 6ft bridge out of 3 paper straws and a blob of playdough. But instead do real life things that real life people do. Things like whipping up culinary masterpieces in cooking challenges, cracking codes in escape rooms, or rolling up their sleeves for meaningful charity work. You could even ask people what they'd like to do and mix it up so that all sorts of experiences are covered. Because isn't the idea behind team building all about doing exactly that, building the team? Building trust and collaboration and working together for a shared goal whilst having a laugh.
