Client Success Spotlight: Empowering Growth in Corporate Relocation
For those of us in consulting or fractional leadership, our client's success is our success. I recently had the pleasure of working with a dynamic duo in the corporate relocation space. While they were already established and experiencing success, they aimed to refine their business model and drive revenue growth.
During our engagement, we crafted an effective playbook focusing on:
Identifying ideal clients
Asking the right questions to uncover pain points
Implementing processes to convert prospects into clients
Their enthusiasm and commitment to the process were inspiring. As our engagement concluded, I was confident that the strategies and initiatives we developed together would yield significant results.
I'm thrilled to share that these clients are already seeing successes, and I am confident that their business will continue to flourish. Here's to their ongoing growth and success!

Chief Impact Officer & Partner at businessfourzero - a Heidrick & Struggles company | Co-founder | Co-Author ‘Every Team Actually Doing Business Better’
Changing behaviour is hard
You don’t have a chance if you don’t focus, get super practical and find ways to reinforce in the fabric of your business
And make sure you are raising the ceiling not just the floor
Brilliant to see our Chief Impact Officer Darren Ashby in Fast Company this week.
In his interview with Stephanie Mehta, Darren urges leaders to raise the ceiling, not the floor - and explains why the 'how' is just as important as the 'why' in helping employees change behaviours.

This week’s leadership tip – Get All Your Associates Involved in Your Strategic Planning Process.
At CITY Furniture, the strategic planning process isn't just a leadership exercise; it's a process that should involve every single member of our company (or at least we try to do this). Why? Because when we gather the collective insight of our entire team to ensure we have the right strategy for the future, we think we’ll make the right strategic decisions. At CITY, we’re big believers that we are smarter together. We see the world and our company better with everyone involved, not just a few of us. Every year we’re trying to get more people involved, and I think that’s why we’re making better decisions because we’re improving our ability to listen to the voice of our associates. We’re far from perfect, and not there yet, but I think we’re getting better every year at this. I got to give a lot of love to my Chief Strategic Officer – Dave Francis for his hard work in continuously improving at this. Not easy work.
This focus on inclusivity also creates transparency and trust. We're not just handing down orders from the top; we're engaging in open dialogues where ideas flow freely, questions are encouraged, bashing strategic decision is encouraged and so much more. I believe as we do this, Associates feel valued and heard, knowing that their voices shape the direction we're heading in. I have countless examples of how it has over the years. 🎯🚀
So, to all the companies out there, remember this: getting all your associates involved in strategic planning isn't just an option; it's a necessity. It's about recognizing that the best strategies are born from collective insight of your team. The more you can get people included in the planning process, the better information you’re going to have to make the right decisions for your company/organization. Go get em! We’re rooting for you!

Effective leadership is important for businesses of all sizes! In this article, Vistage Worldwide, Inc. shares tips for implementing big-business leadership in a small business to drive success and achieve goals: https://bit.ly/3qzMzx3
Scaling our impact as leaders starts with a collective understanding of our core values and purpose. A personal branding exercise can be a powerful tool for us as leaders. It allows us to articulate and refine our unique qualities and aspirations, fostering authentic and impactful leadership. This exercise helps us communicate our leadership identity effectively to our teams and stakeholders.
By aligning our actions with our shared values and purpose, we inspire trust and confidence, cultivating a positive and purpose-driven organisational culture. Scaling impact isn't just about external influence; it's about the internal clarity that radiates through our collective leadership.

When I conduct emerging leader training across the country, I poll participants to confirm the percentage who have goals that have been imposed upon them by your direct report or company leadership. The poll results inevitably range from 70% to 99% of participants confirming YES.
“The next question I usually ask is, ‘How excited are you to achieve these goals?’ The most selected response choices typically teeter between “Not very excited” and “It’s just a part of the job.” Not very awe-inspiring, is it?”
In this Forbes Coaches Council article, I share why Peter Drucker’s SMART goal acronym embraced in the 1980s is no longer relevant for today’s workforce. To get everyone to embrace company goals, you now need to be SMARTer. #bizgrowthinc#goalachievement#workforce#employeeengagement#entrepreneurship#smallbusiness#reachinggoals

Is it possible for a company to thrive under a co-CEO model?
A study by Harvard Business Review suggests that firms with co-CEOs might actually perform better, showing better returns than those headed by a single CEO. On the flip side, critics argue that as businesses scale, a singular visionary leadership style tends to be more effective.
This topic has been explored in depth by James Cook for Business Leader, shedding light on both sides of the co-CEO debate.
What are your thoughts on this? Could two heads be better than one in steering a company toward success, or does it complicate decision-making and leadership?
