#sleepbetterbyreducingclutter If you’ve been complaining of not feeling rested despite several hours of sleep, you probably need to assess the clutter in your bedroom. Here’s what a sleep psychologist has to say – “A cluttered bedroom can create a visual and mental stimulus that interferes with our ability to relax and promotes a restless mind. A clean and organized sleep environment can help create a calm and peaceful atmosphere conducive to better sleep quality.” We rest our case. A cluttered and disorganized bedroom can indeed disrupt your sleep and make it challenging to relax. To combat this issue and create a sleep-friendly environment, consider the following tips: 1) Declutter regularly by removing unnecessary items that don't belong in your bedroom. The less clutter, the more peaceful the room will feel. 2) Organize your storage, using shelves, drawers, and containers to keep your belongings neatly organized. 3) Make your bed every morning. It instantly makes your room look more organized and creates a sense of accomplishment to start your day on a tidy note. 4) Designate a "No Clutter Zone". Set specific areas where clutter is not allowed, such as your nightstand. 5) Use under-bed storage: Store items in easy-to-access containers and place them under the bed. 6) Keep décor minimalistic: Fewer and less dramatic décor and furnishing give a clutter-free and calming look to the room. 7) Keep electronic devices out of the bedroom or place them in a designated charging station. 8) Dedicate a few minutes each day to tidying up your bedroom. This habit can help prevent clutter from accumulating and becoming overwhelming. That lone chair in your bedroom and sometimes even your bed can become a drop zone for laundry. Open and flat surfaces have a way of inviting clutter. Read our blog on ‘How To Keep Open Surfaces Clutter-Free’ for some smart ideas. A serene and organized environment will help you relax, unwind, and enjoy a more restful night's sleep, ultimately contributing to your overall well-being. https://lnkd.in/gP2P9qgx #SleepTips #BedroomOrganisation #DeclutterYourSpace #OrganisedBedroom #HealthySleep #SleepEnvironment #ClutterFree

One of the workshops conducted by our founder, @Aanchal, on the occasion of Women’s Day, was for Tejas Networks at their Bangalore office. In the context of modern living and the need for simplifying lives, Aanchal touched upon ‘Mindful Minimalism: The Science of Simplification.’ A majority of people feel overwhelmed by their possessions. Unknown to us our belongings often weigh us down – whether they are clothes, accessories, gadgets, books, kitchen appliances, or home decor. While we buy them to feel a sense of pleasure and pride, these very belongings take up our physical and mental space, and leave us feeling swamped and sometimes even anxious. At the workshop, Aanchal emphasized the need to take back control of our daily lives into our hands through minimalism and organized spaces, at both home and work. She highlighted the importance of adopting eco-friendly habits in day-to-day lives that contribute to positive environmental change, a significant aspect of minimalistic living. Aanchal underlined the need to declutter responsibly, finding sustainable options like donating, recycling, and upcycling to minimize environmental impact, and choosing eco-friendly products to create effective organizing systems. The workshop was a huge success! We were thrilled to see so many participants feeling empowered and ready to make a positive impact. If you’d like to learn more about Aanchal’s workshops on decluttering and organizing, do drop us a line. #ArrangeItAll #OrganizedLiving #WorkshopsOnDecluttering #ProfessionalOrganizer #MinimalisticLiving

Summer vacations are just a few weeks away, and we know parents are probably thinking how to keep their kids busy, while their work and day-to-day challenges remain the same. We understand the struggle. Add the clutter of the kids’ toys and books, stationery, etc., and it feels like our space is slipping out of our control. One of the great ways to engage the kids is to encourage them to go through their things and start decluttering. Look for broken ones, those with missing parts, and toys they’ve outgrown, or don’t enjoy playing with anymore. Set three boxes out – “sell”, “donate”, and “discard”. Give them smaller tasks to Organize the toys better– Like Segregating the toys into separate containers and labeling them. The idea is not to have one huge box of multiple items but to categorize them so that when kids go to one type of toy, they don’t have to upset an entire box of random stuff, which creates a massive clutter. Create zones – If you have space, this is a great method to introduce play discipline in your kids. Designate specific areas for different types of play, such as building, craft and painting, dress-up, reading, etc. This helps kids know where to find and return toys. Rotate toys – If you have too many toys to keep out at once, consider implementing a toy rotation system. Store some toys out of sight and rotate them every few weeks. This keeps things fresh and reduces clutter. The toy battle doesn’t always have to be a losing one. We can ensure that summer vacations aren’t spent tripping on toy trucks and stepping on building blocks! Ouch! While it is important to create some ground rules and have a clean home, it is after all a home, and let's focus on building habits rather than forcing them. #DeclutteringToys #SummerVacations #OrganizeToys #DeclutteringForKids #ArrangeItAll #ProfessionalOrganizer

#foundersdesk Hello everyone! When I say ‘organizing’, people generally imagine it to be all about only color-coded closets and perfectly aligned shelves. This makes the whole process appear unrealistic and unachievable at times. In reality, being organized is a life skill that can transform the way you navigate the chaos of daily existence. As someone deeply immersed in the world of decluttering and organizing, I can swear by the impact it can have on one’s life. Let’s think practically – if you’re organized, you’re also more efficient, which helps you save valuable time and eliminates the frustration of searching for essential items. It’s a simple yet powerful way to streamline your daily routines and boost your overall productivity. Being organized has many profound benefits too. A well-organized space is like a haven for your mind. When your surroundings are streamlined, you gain a sense of control. Imagine starting your day without the frantic search for misplaced keys or important documents! There’s a scientifically proven correlation between an organized environment and improved cognitive functions; which means an orderly space contributes to overall mental well-being. Organizing is not just about aesthetics; it’s about creating a conducive environment for your mind to thrive. If you’ve had a rough day and feel like you haven’t accomplished anything, take a break to declutter and organize a small space. You’ll gain a sense of control over your surroundings and the exercise brings a unique sense of accomplishment. And in bonus, you create a harmonious living space. Trust me when I say this – organizing is far more than a mundane task; it’s a life-enhancing skill that empowers you to maneuver modern life with grace and efficiency. Best wishes Aanchal

Living with a partner or spouse diametrically opposite to you in decluttering and organizing is a problem that’s not been spoken about enough. If you love living in an organized space and your partner “thrives” in chaos, or vice versa, you’ve got a situation! Living harmoniously with a partner who’s on the opposite end of the ‘clutter spectrum’ needs patience, understanding, and compassion. Valentine’s Day is around the corner; a little tolerance and a lot of love can make this day much more celebratory. Whether you belong to the “I love organized spaces” or the “I find my way around clutter” club, we’ve tips to help you find common ground. ♥️ Be mindful that you’re living in shared spaces, and mutual respect for individual preferences should be a starting point. ♥️ Set a simple yet regular decluttering routine, where you consistently do a clean-up to avoid stressful clutter situations. ♥️ Make decluttering a joint effort. Play music, a podcast, or even a movie you both love and as it plays in the background, go about decluttering. ♥️ If you are big on organizing, lower your standards a bit so that your partner doesn’t feel pressured or trapped. Inspire them to start small, such as managing their own spaces, like work desk or home office, wardrobe, etc. ♥️ Don’t penalize your partner for being indifferent to clutter. Show them how to declutter focused bursts that take only 10 minutes. Sometimes all they need is a gentle nudge. ♥️ Do it for them. Yes, your organized partner needs you to understand their passion for systematic spaces. You cannot deny how their ways have made your life easier. Be kind and make it easy for them too. In my experience, we have converted a lot of non-believers into believers too. When they see the effect of organized spaces for their partners, they are happy to bring the change in their lives too. Decluttering is not rocket science. It needs continuous and mindful effort, and with your partner beside you, it can be a joyful experience too! Here’s wishing you all a Happy and organized Valentine’s Day! 😍 #ValentinesDay #DeclutterWithYourPartner #ProfessionalOrganizer #DeclutteringExpert #ArrangeItAll

From Disorganized to Disciplined: How two teenagers found their rhythm through decluttering and organizing One of our favorite kinds of organizing projects is when we work with children. In this case, two teenagers, siblings aged 13 and 18, needed a hand to cut through the chaos. They needed guidance to find an organized balance in their room and their lives! A calendar peppered with assignments, exams, and non-academic activities called for a tidier environment. It should be easy to find study materials, stationery, and other items. However, this was becoming harder and frustrating for the children. The clutter and lack of organized spaces had become overwhelming for them, which concerned the parents. They needed a system that would be simple to navigate. Team AIA swooped in, analyzed the children’s space, and devised a practical solution — all in just three hours! We figured out a system using which we organized the children’s room, with attention to making their study and other materials easy to find and access. No more looking for things around the house when everything is in its right place! When we kicked off the project, the children were apprehensive. As they saw our work unfold and their space take a new shape, their perspectives changed. They relaxed and found learning opportunities in the benefits of organized living. The parents are thrilled about how their children have embraced the system. They take 15 minutes out of their daily routine to ensure their space is set straight. This involves folding clothes, putting them away, and storing items back in their places. They have understood that just 15 minutes a day can create an environment conducive to studying and their well-being. As for us at AIA – we’re happy as hell! 😀👏 #arrangeitall #OrganizedKidsRoom #DeclutteringandOrganizing #OrganizedLiving #CaseStudy #DeclutteringExpert #ProfessionalOrganizerIndia #ArrangeItAll

#Founder’sDesk Hello there! Today, I want to talk about an often-overlooked aspect of decluttering – the clutter itself! The volume of waste we discard lands up in landfills, hurting the environment. Let’s look at 4 simple ways to declutter sustainably 1. Donate mindfully – Items still in good condition but no longer needed can get a new life if you donate them to local charities, thrift stores, or community organizations. This benefits people in need and extends the items’ lifespan, reducing the demand for new products and the associated environmental resources. 2. Sell – There are several avenues for selling pre-loved items that are in good condition. A baby car seat, a pair of jeans, or even a mixer grinder that you currently own, but don’t need, can be sold, ensuring that they are given away responsibly and get a longer life in a new home. 3. Recycle – Many materials, such as paper, glass, plastic, and metal, can be recycled to create new products. Sorting items properly and taking them to designated recycling centers ensures that these materials are diverted from landfills, conserving resources and reducing the environmental footprint associated with manufacturing new goods. 4. Upcycle – Draw inspiration from around you to creatively upcycle items, and give them a new function or aesthetic value. Repurpose old furniture, clothing, or household items by transforming them into something new and useful. DIY projects and crafting can be enjoyable ways to explore your creativity while positively impacting the environment. Next time you kickstart a decluttering project, focus on practices that prioritize donation, recycling, and upcycling. Together, we can decrease our carbon footprint and inspire others to embrace a more environmentally conscious approach to decluttering. #organizedworkspaces Working from home has become the new norm since COVID. A lot many people set up their workspace during COVID. Let’s reevaluate our space and make it more efficient and organized so that it helps boost our productivity and reduce mental clutter. The first step is to set the space It all begins with finding the right place to set up your home office. If you don’t have the luxury of a dedicated room, find a quiet, well-lit place that has space for an ergonomically-fit desk and chair, and other office essentials. You could partition this area with a standalone bookshelf, a curtain, or a room divider. Declutter with passion Remove every single office item you have; sort and categorize them into office supplies, documents, electronics, and miscellaneous items. Now dive into categories one by one – discard unnecessary documents, stationary, and unused items. Digital decluttering is another critical step - sort, categorize, delete, or archive files as needed. Jump into organizing Designate separate zones for work, storage, and productive breaks. Based on your space, invest in standing shelves or wall-mounted ones, or get a table with drawers and open shelves. If you have a lot of physical documents, a filing cabinet and labeling would be beneficial. Personalize A clinical workspace can be boring; so, add a personal touch with a rug, a comfy cushion, wall art, a vision board, fresh flowers, etc. – anything to perk you up! Maintain regularly This is the most important part of managing your workspace. At the end of the day, put away things, file your documents, clear the desk, and ensure your space is tidy and set for the next day.
