The Dark Side of Charisma Flawed Leaders fall into three types ◾️ The Highly Likeable leader, who rises effortless in an organization because he or she never make any difficult decision are make any enemies. He or she usually influences others to make the difficult decisions, to look good in the eyes of others. ◾️ Homme de Ressentiment who seethe below the surface and plots against his enemies. Destroy anyone who seem like a threat to his or her promotion. ◾️ Narcissists are terrible leaders. They resist suggestions, thinking it will make them weak, and they don’t believe that others have anything useful to tell them. They are usually arrogant and prideful. As a flexible leader you need to be as versatile as the tree pose. Just like how a tree sways in the wind while remaining rooted, a leader must be able to bend without breaking. Embrace change and stay balanced in the face of challenges.

Leaders are in two forms. The selfless & the selfish. Selfless leaders are compassionate & full of empathy for their subjects. Their hearts are for the people they lead. Every thought & action they undertake is geared towards bettering the lives of people & posterity of future generations. Selfish leaders are on the contrary. Every intention & action is towards them & those around them. They are focused on short gains & are not so careful about tomorrow. They focus on enriching & protecting themselves. Often, they are smart enough to make people believe they care. They love power & would do anything to keep it. Anyone who seems to go against them or tends to notice what is going on is branded enemy of the people. Examine carefully the kind of leaders you have. Whenever you have an opportunity to choose a leader for any position, go for the selfless one. #MorningBoost by FrankBigos Have a Tenacious Tuesday

While charisma can be captivating, it doesn't guarantee the leader’s success. Charismatic leaders may excel at communication and persuasion, but if they lack a genuine commitment to their goals or a solid understanding of the challenges they face, their charisma means nothing. Today I invite you to reflect on it and let me know what you think #leaders #motivation #inspiration #jimcollins

"Emotionally Intelligent Leader" Learn to be a good soul before you learn to be a leader. A leader should always be a good soul, caring, kind, compassionate, civil, and inclusive. These attributes will certainly make you an emotionally intelligent leader.

So true Nelson! Empathy, listening, caring ... every one of these is a non-negotiable leadership behavior.
One of my biggest fears as a leader is having someone on my team who is afraid to be honest about how they are feeling. I'd consider it a personal failure. True leaders are trusted, not feared. Here are 2 really good articles on the topic: https://lnkd.in/evRTMyUg https://lnkd.in/eMjr2X2T
