Good morning dear network. On this first day of Class with doctor Kadji Martial, teaching us commercial communication was an interesting exchange were we learnt about "media communication," which refers to communication done through media channels like television, radio, newspapers, and the Internet and "non-media communication," which includes communication activities that do not involve traditional media channels, such as direct marketing, sponsorships, events, and public relations.

If media professionals could advise; can journalists attend a closed event (e.g. a workshop or trainings), without an invite from the organizers or any form of communication to the organizer's PR team? While working with EMTV, I only ever attended events that we received an invitation to attend, or prior communication with the people or at least someone who is organizing the closed event, and other open events in and around the country.

I have gained a deeper understanding of the role that protocol plays in managing and enhancing relations between institutions and the audience after completing the ”Protocol Manual Procedures and Guidelines” training course, Which is closely related to my major "Public Relations ". PR is concerned with building and enhancing trust and positive interaction between institutions and their audience, Which can be achieved through the usage of protocol. Additionally, The usage of protocol helps to build a positive image for the institution, Which is one of the most important functions of PR.
