"Never stop learning": it sounds like an advertising slogan, but at ART it is a way of life! Last month saw the start of the Lean Production training course, which involves 14 ART employees from different teams, covering the entire company organization as a whole. The uniqueness of this initiative lies in ART's desire to promote culture and awareness. In line with our philosophy, it is essential for us to always try to raise the bar with respect to what we know and what we understand. Getting to know and interact with other cultures allows us to improve best practices within ART. #ART #NeverStopLearning --- "Never stop learning": sembra uno slogan pubblicitario, ma in ART è uno stile di vita! Lo scorso mese è iniziato il corso di formazione sulla Lean Production, che coinvolge 14 dipendenti ART provenienti da diversi team, attraversando trasversalmente l'intera organizzazione aziendale. Gamification in Manufacturing This is an intro post into the tormented mind of a machinist. One of the best parts of this great trade is the ability to gamify your daily tasks. Every day presents new opportunities to learn, try new strategies or improve on the fundamentals of past jobs. Here are some key strategies to consider: Measure Everything: Track time and quality metrics meticulously. Data-driven insights are crucial for continuous improvement. Team Collaboration: Foster a culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing. Collective intelligence often leads to innovative solutions. Embrace Technology: Utilize all available technologies to minimize variables and potential errors. Automation and smart tools can be game-changers. Adaptability: Be ready to pivot strategies. What worked yesterday might not be the best approach today. Continuous Improvement: Never settle. Always look for faster, better ways. Strategic Patience: Sometimes, slowing down can help you speed up. Focus on quality and precision and most importantly build rock solid programs or processes. It took a while but our master pickup and setup program allows us to be potentially the fastest most accurate GF machinists out there by leveraging iso programming and variable manipulation. By integrating these principles, we can create a more efficient, motivated, and high-performing manufacturing environment. Let’s embrace the future of manufacturing with gamification!
