Amid debates on 90-hour workweeks and relentless hustle, Anand Mahindra’s profound perspective struck a chord. He reminded us that true success isn’t measured by hours clocked in but by the richness of our thoughts, decisions, and lives. His advice? Even in technical fields, immersing in arts and culture is essential to engage the full potential of the human mind. At ArtApart, we believe this isn’t just advice—it’s a philosophy for innovation and well-being. Art challenges us to slow down, question norms, and view the world through a broader lens. It’s in those quiet, reflective moments where creativity sparks and transformative ideas are born. It teaches us empathy, enriches our problem-solving, and reminds us of the beauty in balance. 💡 A Provocative Thought: What if the key to peak productivity lies not in more work, but in more pauses? Imagine a world where every hour spent on reflection, creativity, or inspiration multiplies your impact. #ReimagineSuccess #CreativityAtWork #ArtAndBalance #InnovationThroughArt #ArtApart #Workspaces #Worklifebalance #Wholebrain Mahindra Group, Larsen & Toubro, Infosys Painting: Persistence of Memory (1931) by Salvador Dalí, the painting is housed in the The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York City

Amid the debate on long work hours, Anand Mahindra advocated for productivity over time spent at the ‘Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2025.’ Referring to recent calls for a 90-hour workweek, Mahindra disagreed, stating, “Focus on quality, not quantity. You can change the world in 10 hours.” He emphasized that innovation stems from effective use of time, not sheer duration. Responding to questions about his work habits, Mahindra declined to quantify his hours, instead highlighting the importance of meaningful output. His remarks came as a counterpoint to L&T Chairman S.N. Subrahmanyan's suggestion of a 90-hour workweek, which faced criticism from figures like Deepika Padukone and Harsh Goenka. L&T later clarified the statement as motivational, not prescriptive. Mahindra praised the energy of young participants at the event, describing them as drivers of India’s progress. The dialogue, running from January 10–12, aims to foster innovative solutions for a ‘Viksit Bharat,’ drawing attention to the importance of youth-led development. #TechNews #InnovationUpdate #AIRevolution #TechIndustry #BreakingTech #tech #news #Ai Website: www.suryavanshi.io

Amongst the mad, there is always the sane. Watching Anand Mahindra's video responding to the 90-hour work week trend, I couldn't help but think of how rare and refreshing it is to hear someone inject humor and clarity into a conversation dominated by chaos. "My wife is wonderful. Love staring at her." It's lighthearted, sure, but beneath the humor lies a deeper truth - a gentle reminder that life is about more than endless hustle. Here in Sri Lanka, surrounded by the vastness of the ocean, I feel that truth even more deeply. Between failed attempts at surfing and being tossed around by the waves, I've learned to laugh at myself and let go. The sea doesn't care how hard you try - it teaches you to ride its rhythm or tumble trying. In those brief moments when I manage to stand, there's a fleeting sense of triumph, not because I mastered the wave, but because I let myself embrace the experience. Mahindra's words and these waves have one thing in common: they remind me that life isn't about overloading ourselves with tasks or achievements. It's about finding joy in the present, whether it's staring at someone you love, soaking in a sunset, or simply laughing at how ridiculous you look crashing into a wave. Amidst the noise and madness of chasing success, there's a quiet wisdom in stepping back, breathing deeply, and living in the moments that truly matter. Sometimes, the sanest thing we can do is just be. #Lnt #infosys #70hours #90hours #workculture #india #productivity #workload #mahindra #anand

While I respect Anand Mahindra’s emphasis on quality over quantity, the truth is that greatness is never achieved by staying within limits. Most people may function well within balanced hours, but it’s the rare few—the bold, relentless, and driven—who push beyond the norm to achieve extraordinary results. These are the ones who work 12–16 hours a day, not out of compulsion, but because they are obsessed with their vision and committed to excellence. Productivity isn’t just about efficiency; it’s about the grit to go the extra mile when others stop. If we want to build a nation that leads the world, we need people willing to outwork, outlast, and outperform the average. Success doesn’t come to those who merely show up; it comes to those who are willing to give everything they’ve got, no matter how long it takes.

Speaking at the National Youth Festival in the national capital, Mahindra asserted that he is on social media not because he is lonely and quipped, "My wife is wonderful. I love staring at her". Anand Mahindra on Prioritizing Work Quality Over Quantity In response to L&T Chairman SN Subrahmanyan's comment about a 90-hour workweek, Billionaire Anand Mahindra highlighted the importance of focusing on the quality of work rather than the number of hours worked. However, I believe this debate is heading in the wrong direction." He added, "We need to emphasize the quality of work, not the quantity. It's not about working 48, 40, 70, or 90 hours." When questioned about his own work hours, Mahindra sidestepped a direct answer, stressing, "I want to avoid making it about the time spent working. Focus on the quality of my work, not the hours." He also noted, "I'm active on X (social media) not because I'm lonely. My wife is wonderful, and I enjoy spending time with her. I'm here because social media is an incredible business tool."
