**New Contract Award | Market Street – Countryside Partnerships (Vistry Group)** We are excited to announce our recent appointment by Countryside Partnerships for the development of a new 169-bed apartment project in Bracknell. Our dedicated team will be responsible for the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of a CAT 4 Residential Sprinkler System, ensuring full compliance with BS9251:2021. We will also implement a Commercial Sprinkler System (OH3) in line with BS12845 standards, along with Dry Risers conforming to BS9990. This project is strategically located within a sustainable area, just a short walk from Bracknell's train and bus stations, right in the heart of the town centre. It aims to enhance accessibility between the leisure facilities to the west of Market Street and the Lexicon centre to the east. Market Street marks the second site submitted for planning under the Bracknell Forest Cambium Partnership. The application focuses on delivering high-quality residential apartments and commercial spaces, which will significantly improve the public realm and enhance the overall accessibility of the town centre, particularly from the west. Craig Derbyshire, Director of Business Development at Detect & Protect Limited, stated: “As an established construction partner to Vistry Group, we are honoured to be entrusted with the delivery of the Fire Suppression Systems. The completion of the Atlas Park renovation is just around the corner. So, we caught up with our Director, Kieren, to discuss this project in further detail. Why did Onward choose to renovate rather than rebuild this warehouse? As a family business that has operated for over 90 years, we value sustainability and thinking about the future. So, where it is feasibly possible, we always try to refurbish a property. Therefore, we chose to renovate Atlas Park as we believed that this building could have its life cycle extended. What was one challenge you faced with the Atlas Park renovation? Most of the units we refurbish are buildings which have not been in our portfolio for very long this means that for most of their life cycle they have been owned by other companies and people. Due to this we face many challenges and unknowns as we undertake a full refurbishment. As we start digging into the parts of the building that cannot be seen, we usually discover something unexpected. While we always work around the issue, it naturally puts pressure on our timetable for the job. For example, at Atlas Park part of the roof had an additional roof lining that was sandwiched between the top and bottom roofing sheets. We discovered this when we began removing the existing roof in preparation for the new roof installation. As with any unexpected issues on our projects, we sort the issues out as we go. We also keep open and honest communication with prospective tenants so that they are aware of changes to the timescale for project completion. #AtlasPark #Renovation #Warehousing #Sustainability

Concilio supported Valouran with the community engagement, working closely with local resients, businesses, and stakeholders to ensure that the development reflect the needs of the community. Through a series of public consultations, feedback sessions, and constructive discussions, we gathered valuable insights that have directly influenced the design and vision of 1-3 Westbourne Grove. Valouran's vision for 1-3 Westbourne Grove involves retaining and enhancing the existing facade, while constructing a new building behind it with combined floorplates, including a pub on the ground and basement levels, and high-quality residential units above. Additionally, they plan to deliver public realm improvements and incorporate environmental sustainability features into the refurbishment to enhance the local area. How do you balance modern living with historic renovation? For us, it's massively dependent on the property, and it's also dependent on the family's needs. So the way in which we look at that is to do a full site visit and report, and then what we do next is very much governed by that building's own story. No two old properties are the same. A lot of what we do is also governed by legislation, so making sure that your property meets current regulations is also our number one priority. Whilst we’re very sympathetic to making sure your renovation gives a nod to the past, we also know that you may want something that is completely modern within an older shell. So it really does depend on the job brief, and each project is uniquely bespoke. The renovation of a historic property can often provide a meaningful starting point for the redevelopment of a block, street, or district. Refurbishment works have commenced on the first phase to transform the historic Leamington Spa Town Hall into a creative hub. New project alert! Historical renovation on deck. 💙 Gutting an existing house and upgrading is filled with challenges. Much more complicated than a new build. Often, in the bucolic villages of the East End of Long Island, renovation can do the trick.
