Construction at Blackwater Mine is complete, the team has worked 4 million hours without an LTI, and first ore has gone to the mill. The future is bright at Blackwater! Watch to hear more.

Here we are at the Blackwater Mine. Construction is completed. We've entered the commissioning phase. And now, in 2025, we are ramping up
what is called the wet plant, which includes the milling
and CIL circuit and gold room. Commissioning a gold mine
always is the hardest bit, and it's a real credit
to the technical experience and the tireless hard work of our construction and commissioning team that we're at this point after just over 21 months of construction and now commissioning. One of the things that continues
to impress me here at Blackwater is our safety culture and the project has surpassed
4 million man hours LTI free. I'm very pleased to announce
that we're commenced milling first ore at Blackwater,
and the start of the new journey. So the future is bright for Blackwater. Blackwater gold mine is achieved. So the construction activity at Blackwater is complete. It's been a long journey,
and I'm really pleased to announce that Blackwater
Go one has achieved its first gold pool. Perfect. Same sort of on the same note,
I'm pleased to announce that construction of Blackwater. So, I'm very. Good. Steven mentioned this,
but I think it's good coming from you. The safety kind of plug. So we just hit 4,000,000 hours and. No. Yeah. If we're going to go into gold, per,
I would say over 4 million. Yeah. Yeah, sure. One of the things that continues
to impress me here
at Blackwater is our safety culture. And, the project has pleasingly surpassed 4 million man hours LTI free. And is that a big deal? Yeah, a big accomplishment. Yeah. Yeah. It's. Yes. Yeah. You know, I'm talking to you. Yeah. Yeah. Look, I think for for all our stuff,
friends, families and contractors to surpass 4 million man hours,
LTI free is a fantastic achievement. Perfect. When you reflect back, what do you think
this accomplishment means to the team? What did it take to get here? One of the very pleasing things
of the completion of the Blackwater project has been the adversity
people have shown. We've been through two wildfires
over two separate years, and we had the major plant contractor abandon the mine site. In quarter three and quarter four. So so, you know, and Steven
is happy for me to say that, I just check with him before so. Certainly the team throughout the project has shown resilience
and the ability to deal with adversity, dealing with two different wildfires
over two years and the major plant contractor
leaving site, you know, the Q4 2024. When you look back,
is there something that you're most proud of? For me personally, I'm really proud of the impact this project will make and has made to the local community, to our traditional landowners, our First Nations
people in British Columbia as a whole. And, to everybody who's participated
and engaged in the project. When you think about highlights
over the past couple of years, what stands out to you? I think some of the big highlights
of this project for me, the completion of the 230 kilovolt transmission
line from Glen Ellen to Blackwater, the tailings
storage facility construction, which was very challenging at times. And, of course, closing off the construction
and commissioning activities in the processing plant behind me. What makes this project different or special? What makes this project special for me? And I think for, the company is we have achieved our objectives ahead of our great and, have delivered on every aspect that we've committed to. And how does it feel being so close to the end? I mean, I guess if we fast forward
to first for like, imagine it. First of all, it just happened today. What does that make you feel? For the, That was kind of all
Crystal had asked me to for it, so. Yeah. No, I just think, I'd like to really, thank our staff, the contractors who came to our assistance and aid in traveling
times for us in quarter for last year. And certainly
the broader region is all pulled together to, contribute
to the success of where we are now. That was great. Thanks.
