#givingtuesday update | With 15 hours still to go, we have received $116 of donations. However, we could also receive an extra $161 from GlobalGiving Whilst it may not sound much to some, it could be a life-saving amount to others. As $116 could fund 5 searches for a patient without a match. The odds of finding a donor are different for each patient, depending on their HLA type. Some patients don't find a match straight away, though that doesn't mean the searching stops. As new donors are recruited and added every day, searches are repeated every few weeks.
