Calculating the wrong V-speeds by using erroneous data for density altitude and aircraft weight can result in a tailstrike. Also incorrect T.O. power settings may cause or contribute to tailstrikes. You will learn about this in a good FAA approved Aircraft Dispatcher class.

𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐢𝐥ano Malpensa 𝐀𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 ! ❗️ A LATAM Airlines Boeing 777-300 suffered a tailstrike during takeoff from 𝐌𝐢𝐥ano Malpensa Airport. Incident Details! 👉 The aircraft continued its climb-out despite the tailstrike. 👉 It dumped fuel to reduce weight. 👉 Made a safe return to the airport 70 minutes later.
