Alteryx ACE, Treyson Marks, has started something great!  What did he come up with? Perhaps the greatest misconception about the Alteryx ACEs is that we wear rose colored glasses for all things Alteryx. At this point it's an ACE right of passage to get in a yelling match with someone at Alteryx about something that isn't being addressed within the existing platform. We are lucky that Nicole Johnson was one of us and has thick skin. We are passionate about this tool that has changed the work life of ourselves and so many others. So, to be 100% honest with you, I have not been giving the new cloud platform the attention that it may deserve. Alteryx Designer Desktop is just such an amazing product that I have a hard time parting with it. But since full cloud adoption is the goal of so many large organizations, I think it's time to see what we are working with. So I took a dive and was pleasantly surprised with what was going on over there. At a high level, the best feedback I could give is that it's in a lot of ways, more fun to develop in than Designer Desktop. I found myself being surprised by some of the features that exist in the platform and how easy it was to see everything I needed as I was developing. However, I still have a lot of questions about scale that I am going to explore in the near future. Definitely excited to keep going though. Check out my video to see the specific things that I really like and to get a glimpse into how all over the place my brain is when I am working through things.
