Tomorrow I head to Tallahassee, FL to address the Florida Society of Association Executives on the campus of Florida State University. My topic is "Profiling Events for Safety & Security." I have spoken at other such state chapters for the American Society of Association Executives as well. This December I'll be doing the same for the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) and at a similar event in February here in Dallas for the Exhibition Services & Contractors Association, all repeat engagements. I have also covered the same several years for the Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP). Seeing the trend here? For those in the #meetings #events #association #associationmanagement #conference #convention #expo #tradeshow worlds, perhaps we too should be speaking. If these national and international associations have me speaking to their such member companies, it stands to reason what I'm sharing is relevant to yours as well. It is not simply about "active shooters" these days but a myriad of other risk and reputation management concerns that need to be addressed. I know someone who can help. #defensebydesign

Seattle Event Professionals and those that schedule industry events at Seattle hotels! Share this with our network! You know how I am always complaining about events pulling from the same audience all happening at the same time? There is a solution! Attached is the Seattle Events Calendar, managed by Jana Heinrichs, CERP Make sure whoever schedules events checks the calendar first (it’s a featured post in Seattle Event Professionals, located on Facebook), to ensure there are no conflicts. Once you do set a date, make a comment on the calendar and the admin will update, so others that check the calendar don't book their events on that day, especially if it's an event that is pulling the same attendees. #eventslife #eventprofs #pnwevents 

Not my words - a generous offering from London Mike Stevenson truly is a master of his craft.   He is a visionary speaker, able to embrace his audience with insight and prior knowledge – leaving them at once more knowledgeable and inspired. . That’s because very few have a life of such dramatic variation.   Mike’s stories live on, viscerally in his audience’s heads. Whether hilarious, heart-rending, or dramatic re-enactment.   Mike is a truly great Scottish export, who will bring a fine `Malt Whisky. ‘At an AXA Conference and Mike Sevenson has just delivered one of the most inspirational talks I've ever heard.
