Hoteliers: Transferable Skills Set 🏨 In my opinion, everyone who has gone through hotel school has been trained in front office, kitchen, housekeeping, finance, sales, food & beverage and many more aspects of operations. Individual may choose to advance in any field of Hotel Operations, the truth is they are capable to extending contribution in various other areas outside of their domain. It is therefore very easy to understand that hoteliers are coveted professionals and wholistic leaders. They are equipped with skills and knowledge to create success in multiple industries. I encourage any student that is planning to join Hotel School to embark on the choice with confidence as they are in for a fruitful journey ahead. The secret sauce of success is when our personal passion and organizational objectives align well as it helps people fulfil their personal and professional aspirations. If you see a Traveller, Host, Chef, Houskeeper, Sales, Experience Creator in yourself…. 🏩 Endless options available I cheer you on loudly in your adventure ahead. 📣 👏 #hotels #careers #choice #hospitality #Students #careeradvice #hoteliers

I wanted to know that can i shift from 5 star hotel to QSR after working for 2 or 3 years? Is the 5 star hotel experience will be counted on QSR or Retail sector?

That's so true Arti Raghava, however challenge in this path is the adaptability and acceptance by the other industries/ verticals and more over the acceptance by the industry itself in which they are trained and professionally skilled, industry need to believe and value their own people at first.

So true. Having been a GM I can vouch that no two days are the same and more than the responsibility the opportunity to learn so much about so many fields from experts is fantastic. You only have to sit in a hotel morning meeting to see what a variety of talent goes into putting a cup of tea together 😃
