Fashion with #Midjourney #AI: From Concept to Couture in Minutes Midjourney AI's ability to craft complex combinations of materials into harmonious luxury clothing is truly stunning. This evening, we showcase a simple test performed for one of our clients. The inspirations are: sleek tailoring, automotive design, the best-selling turtleneck dress of the 2020s loved by Kim Kardashian, and scuba suits heavily referenced by Nicolas Ghesquière. Using carefully produced and selected images, we processed them with our favorite "/blend" function to establish a targeted visual code that suited our vision. By adding a few magic words such as "vertical, fine knit jersey, central line zip, obsidian segments, female physique, chest plate" into the mix, AI assisted us in crafting an entire collection that harmoniously combined our references. The entire project took 20 minutes. Important advice: Work only on the middle section of the body, removing the face and the rest of the body from iterations helps AI focus only on pattern cutting and the distribution of colour and materials, hence reducing the noise in the outcome. What do you think? How long does it normally take to draft, sketch, and execute one such garment? Can your team and creative director make their choices from such digital illustrations? Do you need to launch several rounds of moquettes and wait weeks for their arrival? Speak soon, Karusel 🕊 PS: No complementary retouching tools or 3D renders were used in this test.

Here are ten tips for editing portraits: 1. Start with Basic Adjustments: Begin by adjusting exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, and color balance to achieve a well-balanced image. 2. Focus on Eyes: Eyes are the focal point of most portraits. Ensure they are sharp, bright, and properly exposed. Adjust the whites of the eyes to make them pop, but avoid making them look unnatural. 3. Smooth Skin: Use a soft brush or tool to even out skin tones and reduce blemishes while maintaining a natural look. Be careful not to overdo it, as too much smoothing can result in a plastic-like appearance. 4. Enhance Details: Increase clarity or sharpness to bring out fine details in the subject's hair, clothing, or accessories. This can add depth and texture to the image. 5. Whiten Teeth and Enhance Lips: Brighten teeth and enhance lip color to give the subject a more vibrant and polished appearance. Keep adjustments subtle for a natural look. 6. Adjust Colors and Tones: Fine-tune the overall color palette to enhance the mood of the portrait. Experiment with color grading techniques to achieve a desired style or atmosphere. 7. Use Dodge and Burn: Dodge (lighten) and burn (darken) specific areas of the image to enhance highlights and shadows, adding dimension and depth to the portrait. 8. Crop and Straighten: Crop the image to improve composition and remove distracting elements. Ensure the horizon is straight and adjust the angle if necessary. 9. Experiment with Filters and Presets: Explore various filters and presets to quickly achieve different looks and styles. However, be mindful not to rely too heavily on presets and instead use them as a starting point for customization. 10. Maintain Realism: While editing, aim to enhance the portrait without making it look overly processed or unrealistic. Pay attention to skin texture, lighting, and overall natural appearance. Remember, the goal of portrait editing is to enhance the subject's features while maintaining their authenticity and capturing their personality. It's essential to strike a balance between creative enhancement and realism. Mega Shots Photography Bang Graphix Technologies

What to Watch - Advice From a Script Supervisor When you start checking continuity, it feels like you need to look everywhere. But as you gain experience you’ll realise there are only a select few elements per department you need to watch closely. Part One: Costume While Setting up the Scene Check your story days and pull up your continuity photos from when the actors were last seen on that day and when we see them next. Go to the actors who are in costume and double-check what they’re wearing against the photos you have. Check: Every item of clothing - socks, shoes, and accessories in particular are often mixed up Creases, stains, threads, and tears Zips, fastenings, and buttons - how far are they done up? Rolled-up sleeves and cuffed trousers - do these match previous scenes? Anything loose, eg ties and lanyards Watch - does it show the correct in-world time and date? Story - does the way the character is wearing the costume make sense within the story? Eg if the character has been surviving in the wilderness for a week, their shirt won’t be crisp white and freshly steamed. If you catch any issues with the above, communicate them to the costume department and show them a continuity photo to match to. Most continuity issues should be solved before cameras are even rolling. During a Take On the monitor, you’re watching the following: Any items of clothing that are removed or put on mid-scene, eg jackets - how and when are they removed? Where are they placed? Are they reset properly at the start of a new take? Any items of clothing that move, eg ties, lanyards, capes, scarves, long skirts, drawstrings Zips, fastenings, and buttons - always watch their height Jewellery - watch for a stray necklace clasp, or jewellery jumping in and out of clothing Stains, sweat marks, and creases - as a scene goes on, a once pristine costume might become raggy As soon as the take is over, flag any issues with the costume standby so they can run in and fix the issue before the next take. If there is a large issue, briefly inform the director so they can decide whether they’d like to go for another take. If you would like me to script supervise your next project, or you're a script supervisor looking for an assistant with a keen eye for detail, please get in touch. https://lnkd.in/eaEenpRY #filmmaking #continuity #scriptsupervisor

Fashion lookbook shoots are a fantastic way to showcase your clothing line or personal style. Here are some steps to organize a successful shoot: Concept Development: Define the theme, mood, and aesthetic you want to convey. This will guide everything from wardrobe choices to location selection. Team Assembly: Gather a team including a photographer, stylist, makeup artist, hair stylist, and models. Ensure they understand and align with your vision. Location Scouting: Choose locations that complement your concept. Consider indoor and outdoor settings, and obtain any necessary permits. Wardrobe Selection: Curate outfits that reflect your brand or personal style. Ensure they're clean, pressed, and fit the models well. Hair and Makeup: Work with the hair and makeup team to create looks that enhance the overall aesthetic. Set Design: If applicable, design sets or backgrounds that enhance the visual impact of the shoot. Equipment Setup: Coordinate with the photographer to ensure all necessary equipment is ready and functioning properly. Shooting Schedule: Plan out the shoot day, including specific shot lists and timings to maximize efficiency. Directing the Shoot: As the creative director, provide guidance to the team throughout the shoot to ensure the desired outcome is achieved. Post-Production: Review and select the best images from the shoot. Collaborate with a retoucher to refine the images and bring out their full potential. Marketing and Promotion: Once the lookbook is ready, leverage social media, your website, and other channels to promote your collection and drive sales. Remember to stay organized, communicate effectively with your team, and be open to creative input throughout the process.

I love thinking about new use cases for AI tech being built. For those thinking about getting some headshots created for job applications and the like (and not wanting to use a professional photographer) one of the go-to solutions is Secta Labs solution. While the idea of submitting a selfie and generating heaps of images of yourself in Paris, in the desert, in the boardroom is all fun .... I can see another use case. Below, is a gif from the Secta website showing how a female would look with different color hair. Just imagine what a hairdresser could do with this! Or a wedding makeup artist. Or a personal stylist. The ability to snap an image of their client on their phone and immediately generate 20 different looks for the client to choose from .... incredibly transformative.

𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 🔥🔥🔥 🎭 𝐈𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐦𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬! 👗 Think of a class in Scala as a plain, everyday mannequin. Now, this mannequin can wear different outfits to change its style, right? But wait, it can also add accessories like hats, scarves, or funky glasses to jazz things up! 🕶️🎩🧣 In Scala, these accessories are called 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐬. When a class extends a trait, it's like adding a new accessory to our mannequin. Each trait brings its own flair, making our mannequin (class) more versatile and stylish. Here's the cool part: our mannequin can wear multiple accessories at once! So, if one accessory (trait) gives it superpowers 🦸♂️ and another makes it hilarious 🤡, it can combine both to be a super funny hero! 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬: 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘁𝘀: Imagine our mannequin wearing a stylish jacket (class) and adding cool sunglasses (trait) for extra pizzazz. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔 𝑺𝒕𝒚𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒉𝑱𝒂𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒕 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒕 𝑪𝒐𝒐𝒍𝑺𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒏 𝒆𝒙𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝑺𝒕𝒚𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒉𝑱𝒂𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑪𝒐𝒐𝒍𝑺𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘁𝘀: Our mannequin starts with a mysterious cloak (abstract class) and then accessorizes with a magician's hat (trait). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 𝒂𝒃𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔 𝑴𝒚𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔𝑪𝒍𝒐𝒂𝒌 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒕 𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔𝑯𝒂𝒕 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒏 𝒆𝒙𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝑴𝒚𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔𝑪𝒍𝒐𝒂𝒌 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔𝑯𝒂𝒕 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘁𝘀: Now, our mannequin can be a true fashionista by combining a funky hat, a colorful scarf, and some fancy gloves (multiple traits). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒕 𝑭𝒖𝒏𝒌𝒚𝑯𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒕 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒍𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒇 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒕 𝑭𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒚𝑮𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒔 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒏 𝒆𝒙𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝑭𝒖𝒏𝒌𝒚𝑯𝒂𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒍𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒇 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑭𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒚𝑮𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒔 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, traits are like these magical accessories that can be mixed and matched to give our classes unique abilities and characteristics. 🎨✨ Loved it? Here’s a look behind the scenes at one of my signature #illustration pieces in the works. I do a good mix of en plein air, but also photo reference studies. I spend about 2-3 hours a morning at coffee shops doing studies varying from 2-3 minutes to longer 10-15 minute studies of people, clothing, and #sneakers. The photo reference studies are a mixture of people I know and photos I've taken and photos I find aesthetically interesting. Below is a sneak peek at one in the works. #fashion
