Excited to announce our $11.5M Seed at Artisan! At Artisan, we're solving 2 major problems: - There are too many (bad) SaaS products. There's a sea of clunky feature-products that don't talk to each other, cost too much and lead to endless context switching and data entry - Humans do too much work. Every day, millions of people open their computer and spend 8 hours doing manual, highly automatable work We're creating consolidated, easy-to-use software and AI Employees called Artisans to address these issues. Our first Artisan is Ava, the AI BDR. She finds and researches leads using dozens of data sources, send them hyper-personalized messages on LinkedIn and email, manages deliverability and so much more. I spoke to Forbes about the round & what’s in store for Artisan looking forward. Read about it here: https://lnkd.in/eie6Yg5N. Since launching Ava, we've crossed $1 million ARR and onboarded 100s of customers. If you want to learn more about Ava, let's chat: https://lnkd.in/erKwdu4i The round was led by Oliver Jung, with participation from HubSpot Ventures, Masha Bucher from Day One Ventures, Y Combinator, Fellows Fund, BOND, Sequoia Capital Scout, 10x Founders, Aneel Ranadive from Soma Capital, Gopher Asset Management, CoreNest, Mento vc, Anu Hariharan, Paul Daversa, David J. Phillips, Teddy Nwachuku, Lawrence Lin Murata, Nick E., Alexander Galicki, Eugenio Carnemolla, Stevan Nenadov, David Job de Picciotto, Kenny Denton, AIP Seed, and Daniel Paley. This is just the beginning - we have tons of exciting features in our roadmap for outbound sales and some awesome new Artisans in the pipeline We’re looking for talented people to help us build the next paradigm of software 🚀 Get in touch if you’re interested: https://lnkd.in/ePZACACq

We are ahead on revenue bootstrapped but congrats see you in the battlefield let the best solution win :)
Congrats on the raise. You had me at your first bullet, there is way too much software that isn’t coordinated. But building a better lead gen tool to ultimately generate more spam does not seem like a useful solution. Let me know when you have an Artisan that can tell AWS to turn off or on an instance, or automatically accrue in my general ledger the usage charges from Snowflake or other SaaS tools. Many, many valuable use cases which are calling out for an Artisan, replacing human BDRs isn’t one of them.
So If I am not wrong, this is an AI agent working for us, right???.
What an incredible milestone for Artisan! Huge congratulations to Jaspar Carmichael-Jack, Sam Stallings, and the Artisan team for securing this round of funding. 1moSo you are using AI to target over-worked humans with cold call material that will add to their workload, In reality, many humans are using AI to combat the onslaught of AI generated marketing, which defeats the whole object, as it will be AI pitching for new projects being met frontline by AI filtering. I think also that AI like blockchain etc has a bigger problem, proven test cases. I know of at least one company in the AI space who has burnt through $120m is seven years and is hoping to be at break even soon, I think it will not be soon enough, the burn rate is always that bit too high. Useful adoption is typically a decade plus play, take cloud computing its genesis was 2004, but it took ten plus years to get into its stride.
