Video is a great way to grab attention and maintain the attention of your audience. Data shows videos are 5x more engaging and the information is digested 6x easier then static alternatives. Telling a short story with a video is an excellent example of how impactful video can be.

Curator of “Difficult Conversations/Stronger Communities” series|ForbesBLK Global Member| | Contracts Specialist for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Contract Closeout Services| Author |
I need yall to know that I’m coming back for everything… EVERYTHING 💥 My very first full vision that came into fruition was #FindingChrisMyFather over 12yrs ago. That was book, to stageplay (sold out shows)…the reach was worldwide (and STILL doing #s). Back in 2022, I had a vision of curating a series about having difficult conversations on various topics (and many times, with NO topics), out in the open, changing out panelists each time; and myself being the moderator. I called it “The Importance of Having Difficult Conversations”. I partnered with the @commonhouserva up until the last quarter of 2023. At that time they couldn’t fully understand and properly support the vision/series, so I then began a new partnership with @thewellcollective ; and continued the series there, where we added a subject-based element to it (S/O to @ashleywilliams for believing!) Now in year two of my #difficultconversations series season, it’s time to begin the discussions and ultimately filming of the documentary that I envisioned for it back in December. {SN: When I have visions, they are super clear and precise visions, so it really excites me when they come.} With that said, I just met with a young, experienced, up & coming videographer not too long out of school for cinema. She’s ready to get to work, and so am I! We have an interview scheduled for 2/25, to discuss the series on film; then we plan to map out the next steps of this process. If you ain’t know by now, I’m BLESSED 😇 You ain’t believe the first go round? You don’t believe now? It’s ok, God did then, and He still does. Remember, when they tap you for an interview on how you’re connected to or how you knew Vinny Blanco, don’t act like you knew it all along; act brand new. #tellemblancosentya 💫 #GodDis #vincentelliswhite #vewenterprises #theimportanceofhavingdifficultconversations #cinematography #cinema #vision #visionary

1000% THIS -- Practice makes BETTER! I often speak about this when talking with folks who are either starting out or looking to up their game. Companion advice to this is: Build your personal library! Record and catalog at least one sound a day! Get to know your strengths (and build on them) as well as your weaknesses (and improve them)! Can't overcome a creative block? Lock yourself in a room and don't come out until you've conquered it.
Sound Artist Mark Mangini (Dune, Mad Max: Fury Road) shares how to solve creative challenges and propel your film sound career to greater heights 🎬 ✨ Watch full interview here: https://bit.ly/3VV64xn 💡

I just finished my very successful production of Miriam and Esther go to the Diamond District at the Magic Theatre in San Francisco. It was an amazing collaborative process that took a literal village (over 24 people) to make it happen. A DREAM COME TRUE! One of the things I love about my company Compass are the guiding principles: 1. DREAM BIG 2. MOVE FAST 3. LEARN FROM REALITY 4. BE SOLUTIONS DRIVEN 5. OBSESS ABOUT OPPORTUNITY 6. COLLABORATE WITHOUT EGO 7. MAXIMIZE YOUR STRENGTHS 8. BOUNCE BACK WITH PASSION Simple things to say, but so powerful when adhered to. I try to live my whole life this way, and hope you do too! Silent pictures, those captivating relics of early cinema, serve as fascinating time capsules, offering glimpses into bygone eras and revealing the prevailing attitudes and lifestyles of their time. 🎥 They provide a window into history, showcasing not only how people lived but also the values and cultural norms they held dear. From the elegant opulence of the Roaring Twenties to the gritty realities of the Great Depression, silent films capture the essence of each era with remarkable clarity. Moreover, as an art form, silent pictures possess a timeless charm that continues to captivate audiences to this day. 🎨 The absence of spoken dialogue compels filmmakers to rely on visual storytelling, resulting in a rich tapestry of imagery, gestures, and expressions that convey a myriad of emotions and narratives. This reliance on visual communication encourages creativity and innovation, giving rise to groundbreaking techniques and cinematic masterpieces that still resonate with viewers. Indeed, the magic of silent cinema lies in its ability to transcend language barriers and speak directly to the universal human experience. Whether it's the slapstick humor of Charlie Chaplin, the romantic allure of Greta Garbo, or the epic spectacles of D.W. Griffith, silent films offer something for everyone, entertaining and inspiring audiences across generations. So let's celebrate the enduring legacy of silent pictures, embracing their beauty, entertainment value, and profound cultural significance. 🎬 #SilentCinema #TimelessArt #VisualStorytelling #GoldenAgeOfHollywood #CinematicMasterpieces 🌟RADISH CONSULTANTSDr.Harish V.Sravan Chitturu
