📅 Hamburg Sustainability Conference – Solution Pitch “Acting credibly and sustainable with SDGold” The Hamburg Sustainability Conference is driven by the vision that reaching the #SDGs requires interdisciplinary and trustful collaboration among the international community. The conference aims to foster new partnerships and collective action of those who are willing to commit to action: global policymakers, private sector leaders, academia experts, and civil society representatives. Multilateral alliances will advocate for scalable projects and progressive policies. Open dialogues will lead to decisions that turn into concrete actions with measurable results. The annual conference and its international satellites are a joint initiative of the United Nations (UNDP), the German Federal Government (Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ)), the Michael Otto Foundation and the City of Hamburg. 💡💪 Hub Empowering Societies Fair and inclusive policies are critical to achieving the #2030Agenda. The Hub will focus on the initiatives to empower women and girls, just mobility, implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the role of NGOs, philanthropy and social networks as drivers of change. The Foundation Development and Climate Alliance – funded by Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) – would like to show you how we can “empower” companies. Our process-based approach #SDGold offers numerous advantages to companies that are already actively committed to climate protection and sustainable development or would like to do so. It is a strong award that demonstrates a company’s commitment to meeting the requirements of the Paris Agreement and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The benefits of the label make it a valuable tool as part of a comprehensive and long-term sustainability strategy. In a 15-minute pitch Peter Renner (Chairman of the Board of Directors) and Sina Brod (Head of Research & Consulting, Foundation Development and Climate Alliance) will explain the advantages of the SDGold award and answer your questions. 🕚 Hamburg Sustainability Conference: October 7 – October 8, 2024 🕓 Solution Pitch: October 8, 2024 at 11:00 am at Exhibition Area 📍 Hamburg Chamber of Commerce More info: https://lnkd.in/dTEHfD4y #oneworldoneclimate #sustainabledevelopment #hamburgsustainabilityconference

Join me at the Green Vision Summit & Expo in Malta #GVSE24 Regeneration Over Sustainability: A Vision and Blueprint for a Thriving World Marc champions a profound shift and a bold leap forward: transitioning from merely sustaining to actively regenerating and revitalizing our environment, communities, and economies. His transformative approach promotes practices that restore and enhance the health and vitality of our planet, rather than merely maintaining the status quo. He calls on leaders, innovators, and individuals alike to reimagine their impact on the world, pivoting from passive participants to active architects of a thriving world. Marc’s vision is aligned with the growing momentum towards regenerative practices among thought leaders, environmentalists, and businesses. This paradigm shift focuses on actively doing good rather than just minimizing harm. Regenerative practices aim to rebuild, renew, and revitalize sources of energy and materials, thus enhancing the health of the ecosystems and communities they touch and striving for a net-positive impact. Marc delves into strategies and innovations showcasing how regenerative practices can be adopted across various sectors. He urges a collective reevaluation of how we design products, manage land, conduct business, and live our lives in symbiosis with nature. Covering topics like circular economies, renewable energy, regenerative agriculture, and community-led conservation efforts, he demystifies sustainability jargon and acronyms—HSE, CSR, SDGs, ESG—turning them into a toolkit for active co-creation of desirable futures. Marc challenges us to see ourselves as agents of change, capable of shaping a thriving world for ourselves and future generations. This keynote is more than just a speech; it’s a roadmap and blueprint for transforming our lifestyles and business models, preparing us to be 'future fit' in a rapidly changing world. Sustainability is not a magic wand, it is an approach that we have to apply dilligently for years to help the planet recover. It is not a single action but reather a array of tools that can be applied. Here are a few key highlights from the Dassault Systemes inaugural CSO Summit, "Bringing Biodiversity into the Loop," held in London during Climate Week. This event brought together #sustainability leaders to discuss crucial topics, including: • Integrating #biodiversity with the #circulareconomy • Transitioning from "less-harm" practices to full "regeneration" • Drawing business inspiration from nature The summit provided a powerful platform for exchanging innovative ideas and fostering collaboration. Let's continue to lead the way in sustainability and work towards a nature-positive economy! #Biodiversity #CircularEconomy #Sustainability

In the context of COP29 and before we embrace 2025, what if we took a step back and perceived sustainability in a historical learning: expectations, achievements, obstacles and expanding the vision, in a collective intelligence reflection. The cultural sector offers a distinctive platform for interconnecting policy and public action through its role as a medium of collective storytelling and expression. From integrating sustainability into artistic practices to using cultural events as awareness-raising campaigns, the sector can amplify and democratise climate messages. In terms of resilience, the 2014 Sustaining Creativity Survey by Julie's Bicycle provides a valuable reference document for the UK's cultural sector. #COP29 #Sustainability #Storytelling #Culture #Art #Resilience
