Taking a moment to appreciate this collaboration 🙌 This Friday, ARTXP will host the 7th workshop in our annual series for an iconic brand known for their creativity and innovation- truly a front runner! While we can’t mention them by name due to their policies, the picture should provide a clear hint 😉 Each workshop in this series, curated by skilled local artists from ARTXP’s host community, provides team members with an opportunity to think creatively and outside the box by engaging in hands-on activities across a wide range of art mediums. We are excited and honored to partner with this incredible company, connecting them with local talent and shining a spotlight on creativity and its importance in today’s ever-competitive work environment. Featured in the image is Anna Katrine Parker, a talented jeweler and member of ARTXP's creative host community, who led her jewelry design workshop back in May. Her journey is a testament to what ARTXP stands for- a vibrant platform where artists can showcase their art, engage with wider audiences, and earn a meaningful income from their craft. Looking forward to creating many more creative connections and continuing to make a difference in the lives of artists! ARTXP 🎨🚀 #CreativityAndInnovation #Milestone

❌ As creatives, we often find ourselves struggling to express ourselves in ways we would like due to a world that values conformity over individuality. 💡 But what if we flipped the script and celebrated our creative differences instead? ✅ Creativity is the spark that sets us apart, weaving together our passions, interests, and experiences into something special. When we tap into it, we unlock a world of possibilities, combining different processes, genres, and mediums to create something entirely new and innovative. 🙌 But it's not just about creating something new – it's about finding the courage to experiment, take risks, and push boundaries. When we do, we discover a sense of freedom and fulfilment that's hard to find elsewhere. Which brings me to some very exciting news! 🌟 I'm excited to share that I'll be exhibiting my brand new experimental series ‘Assemblage' at Stoke on Clay Festival in a few months! 🏺🧵 This series is all about challenging the conventions of craft and creativity as we currently know them and more about the hybridisation and interconnection of embroidery with clay – where traditional techniques meet modern innovations. Stay tuned for up-and-coming updates and behind-the-scenes peeks into my creative process! #ceramics #stokeontrent #ceramicsindustry #creativeconfidence

Houdini Circle, where everything can be either bought, rented or subscribed to, regardless of new or used, continue to spark interest! Thank you Gertjan Dieleman and the rest of the Ingka Centres team visiting from Malmö and Shanghai for the conversation, inputs and questions. I got the chance to share the holistic reasoning behind Houdini Circle. In a Circle Economy, natural resources, like textile fibers aren’t ours to take and waste -we are custodians of these assets and it’s part of our responsibility, and a basic principle in circular design, to also design for the next life phase. In accordance with this principle, it is natural to transition away from user ownership and enable us to better control and care for the raw materials full cycle. In order to fly, though, the holistic approach must be commercially viable and deliver a better experience to the user. And while this still is breaking new ground compared to conventional retail, the emerging customer is expecting to be able to access their products in the way that is most suitable to them. But the devil is in the details and for a model like this to be successful we need systems excellence in the backend and robust pricing models. Thank you, Julia Blomstergren at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) for coming by to explain some of the processes that BCG helped us to develop. The continuous work of challenging the norm of ownership, and blurring the line between new and used, together with our users and cocreators, I believe will be a Houdini Sportswear milestone that will help shift the mindset around consumption! #circulareconomy #sustainability #retail

Go large, or go home 🦅 Imagine this as the background of your virtual meeting! Getting the scale right when selecting art is crucial. As a rule of thumb, in smaller rooms, choose a single large piece of art to fill 50-70% of the wall. This will make the space feel larger. Large art creates a focal point, adds impact, and enhances the overall ambiance. Introducing new art is an easy way to refresh and enliven any space. 📷 Journey, by @tylerbarkerrr #rentart #buyart #aboriginalart

In the world of art, it can be overwhelming to determine which artists are worth investing in, especially for a corporate art collection. It's crucial to find artists who not only align with the company's brand and principles but also offer long-term value. To discover promising talent, it's essential to look beyond those easily found online or recommended by representatives. Finding under-the-radar artists who produce exciting work can provide a fresh and unique perspective to your corporate space. Plus, these artists are more likely to charge fair prices, making it a favorable investment opportunity. Investing in emerging artists can also offer excellent returns. Their work is often sold for entry-level prices, but they have the potential for significant increases in value. Beyond profitability, emerging artists approach their work with radical innovation and original thoughts, resulting in some of the best art. In short, finding artists who show promise and offer unique ideas is key to building a successful corporate art collection. Investing in emerging talent like Dowling can be a rewarding and profitable acquisition. Core Themes That Define Decoy Creative At Decoy Creative, our mission is grounded in several key themes that shape everything we do. First and foremost, we believe in the power of storytelling through art, amplifying the voices and experiences that often go unheard—from immigrants to individuals of mixed heritage, to those searching for a sense of belonging. We are passionate about exploring the intersections of identity, cultural fusion, and belonging, reflecting these complexities in our fine art collections and lifestyle products. In addition to celebrating diverse stories, we are committed to bridging the gap between art and technology. We see innovations like AI and image generation tools not as threats but as powerful allies that can expand artistic possibilities and empower artists to thrive. At Decoy Creative, these core themes guide us as we embrace the future of art, balancing technological advancements with the authenticity and humanity that art brings to the world. #DecoyCreative #ArtAndTechnology #StorytellingThroughArt #EmergingArtists #CulturalFusion #ArtInnovation #CreativeVision

This article from The Art Newspaper discusses how mega-galleries like Gagosian, David Zwirner, and Hauser & Wirth are dominating the art market by opening numerous new branches and signing top artists, which puts pressure on smaller galleries and smaller artists. 🖼️ These large galleries' expansions and high-profile exhibitions increase competition, but they also drive up prices and focus on commercial success, potentially impacting the quality and diversity of art. 🎨<💰 Some believe this trend could harm the broader art ecosystem by sidelining smaller operators and less commercially viable art, this is exactly what we are trying to fight against at ARTXP. 🥊 At Artxp, we passionately advocate for local artists, championing the belief that art is by the people, for the people. The true essence of art should remain untouched by commercial pressures. 💪 Our mission is to support local artists against the dominance of big conglomerates, fostering creativity at all levels because every talented artist starts somewhere. Art shouldn't be monopolized; everyone deserves the chance to pursue their dreams. 💭 At Artxp, we empower local and small artists to sustain themselves through their passion, providing them with the platform and resources they need to thrive. Join us in our journey to keep the magic of art alive and accessible to all. https://lnkd.in/egQpp4jY #art #artmatters #arttherapy #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #employeewellness #teambuilding #teambuildingactivities #teambuildingevents #localartists #artists #creativity #creativitymatters #corporateculture https://lnkd.in/gb-PT7Hf

In pursuit of an MHA @ Johns Hopkins University | Empathy Enthusiast & Joyful Whisperer | Transforming Lives with Kindness & Gratitude – Who Doesn’t Need More Joy (and Maybe a High-Five for Making It Through the Day)?
🎨 The Revolution of Individuality: Breaking the 'Cookie-Cutter' Mold 🍪✨ Ever wonder why the world feels like a giant cookie factory, churning out identical human cookies? Well, news flash: the cookie cutter is broken (and frankly, it was probably a cheap one from the dollar store). We're not meant to be clones; we're a fabulous mix of weird, wonderful, and wacky - and that's our superpower! Ever tried fitting into the 'normal' box and realized it's like wearing socks with sandals? Sure, it's comfortable for some, but let's face it - it's not for everyone! Think about it: being different isn't just okay; it's like being the artist who turns a monochrome gallery into a 3D, glow-in-the-dark, interactive art exhibit. You're not just adding a splash of color; you're transforming the entire scene into something extraordinary. Actionable Tip: Let's each do one thing that celebrates our unique selves. It could be as simple as starting that quirky project you've been thinking about or sharing an idea at work that seems 'out there.' Remember, innovation starts with individuality. #EmbraceIndividuality #BeDifferent #Innovation #Creativity #BreakingMolds #UniquePerspectives #LifeOutsideTheBox
