To all job seekers looking for referrals, Having been on both sides of the process, it's surprising to see the common mistakes made when seeking referrals. Here are two key tips to improve your approach: 1. Research the individual you're seeking a referral from. While you don't need an in-depth knowledge, a thorough look at their LinkedIn profile, especially understanding their team, can help you add a personal touch to your message, setting you apart. 2. Ensure you are genuinely skilled for the job you're pursuing. Putting in the effort to work on projects, learn DSA, write code on platforms like LeetCode and HackerRank, create a personal portfolio (essential for front end/web design roles), and showcase your projects on GitHub demonstrates your dedication to your craft. Being well-prepared has helped me receive commendations on my work and stay ahead, and I'm more inclined to refer candidates who showcase their abilities. Remember, these steps can make a significant difference in securing referrals and advancing your career. Good luck in your job search! #JobSearch #Referrals #CareerAdvice #ComputerEngineering #CS

I developed a Node package module for job listings to address a common challenge faced by many companies - the lack of a dedicated careers page on their websites. This gap can make it difficult for passionate individuals to find job opportunities within these organizations, potentially leading to missed connections and valuable hires. By providing a solution that simplifies the process for companies across various industries, including those outside of IT, we aim to streamline the job search experience for both employers and candidates. With our user-friendly solution, companies can focus on showcasing their unique selling proposition while offering a seamless application process directly on their websites. Let's build trust and make it easier for talented individuals to join your teams. #JobListings #CareerOpportunities #NodePackageModule

Happy Fourth of July! 🎉 A Day to Celebrate Freedom To Create Your Next Big Idea. 💡🚀 Day 27 (Thursday) to Day 33 (Wednesday) of My 30 Day Challenge (Building 100 Websites w/ Ebulas) - So it turned out that I wasn't able to post a final post on Day 30. Now it's 4 days later, but what perfect day for the finale. The challenge that I made for myself is over, but I am continually improving the system and the 100 websites I've built will continue to live on as examples of what Ebulas can do. So what's my next challenge? It's simple. - Find a client or two (or an investor or an employer) that has use of my skills & experience along with the Ebulas tools and system. - Make a decent income so I can do this full-time. - Continue to plan out an epic business plan and financial outlook. - Build a couple of my own projects with Ebulas. - Bring on a few good developers to assist me in this epic project. Here is my call to action >>>> Schedule a free consultation with me to learn more about what Ebulas can do for your company and/or project. It can be online or at my Lehi office. I've cleared my schedule for the next 90 days. :) https://lnkd.in/gFjqEs_8 (I'm also open to doing final job interviews.) Thanks for watching... Let's talk about it. There is truth to both, but in our experience, we find the reality to be a hard truth. We are not saying a degree or experience isn't valuable, they are**. It depends on the job. For example, you don't need a degree to be a great software engineer or web developer they take talent! We have seen great people get turned away because their resumes were "confusing". We get it, resumes are a pain to make. However, they can make or break a hiring manager's attention. Lastly, your network is your net worth! CONNECT WITH US. Most applications now have space to add websites and additional info - use this to your advantage and add your portfolio. It allows you to demonstrate your technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and creativity through detailed case studies and real-world examples. Your portfolio should go beyond listing skills—include side projects, open-source contributions, and certifications that highlight your passion for the field. This not only proves your technical abilities but also provides a deeper insight into how you approach and solve complex challenges. #ITCareers #PortfolioTips #TechJobs #CareerGrowth #JobSearch #ITSkills #MarcusDonald
