Our assessments examined the carbon footprint of each project, evaluated climate risks such as extreme heat, cold, flooding, and storms, and reviewed existing mitigation measures alongside potential improvements. The insights gained can help Deutsche Bahn and other rail infrastructure owners and operators understand how extreme weather events may affect their assets, and guide decisions on building and maintaining a more climate-resilient rail network.
