What a great audience and fabulous moderator earlier today during our "Evidence Gaps" session at Reuters Pharma 2024 in sunny Barcelona! I enjoyed sharing our practical experience on real-time Real-World Data 💾 for healthcare delivery transformation. Thanks to Reuters Pharma for a meeting room painted in the official AZ (purplish-red) colour for our session. It made me feel at home. 🏡 There are a few takeaways: (1) A new data-driven, patient-centred, collaborative healthcare ecosystem is on the rise. Germany Unveils 2024 Catalog of Healthcare Innovations Approved for NUB Funding The Institute for the Hospital Remuneration System (InEK) has released a list of requests for innovation funding (NUB) in Germany, highlighting medical technologies proposed by hospitals to enhance patient care. Out of 981 submissions, 29% achieved the coveted status 1 designation, allowing hospitals to negotiate for innovation funding. Additionally, 3% of submissions achieved a differentiated status, indicating potential accreditation under specific conditions. The diverse range of technologies granted status 1 designation includes advancements in surgical techniques, prosthetics, obesity treatment, cancer therapies, cardiovascular interventions, and more. These innovations exemplify Germany's commitment to healthcare innovation and improving patient outcomes.
