Exciting News from CANSEC 2024!   We are thrilled to share that our team just returned from a productive and inspiring visit to CANSEC, North America’s premier defense and security exhibition. Over the past few days, we had the privilege of connecting with industry leaders, exploring cutting-edge innovations, and meeting with our valued clients.   Here are a few highlights from our time at CANSEC:   Data-Centric Security Discussions: Engaging conversations about the importance of data-centric security highlighted the industry's focus on protecting sensitive information, no matter where it resides or how it’s accessed.   Zero Trust Architecture: Our commitment to a Zero Trust architecture resonated in our discussions, emphasizing the need for continuous authentication and authorization to minimize risks and protect assets.   Artificial Intelligence: We delved into the role of AI in cybersecurity, discussing how machine learning and AI-driven analytics are transforming threat detection and response, making our solutions more proactive and effective.   Building Relationships: We forged new connections and strengthened existing relationships with key players in the industry. Interesting to read a series of perspectives. I think Hiroshi Sekiguchi and Jon Harris, MBA, CPP, PSP are using the right word (collaboration) and asking the right question (What do we mean by "Convergence"). I believe we would all make better progress shedding the word "Convergence" and start using words like "Joint Operations", "Combined Operations" or "Collaboration". No one wants to give up their identity - just like the Army and Navy. In a joint operation, they do NOT operate in silos. They coordinate ops and share information to achieve the mission objective - whether military or applied to an organization. The critical element in a joint operation is data sharing standards (this would be more relevant to "convergence") along with regular training to build and enhance capabilities.
